If you had invested $5000 into bitcoin on April 14 when OP was posted, you'd have around $8000 worth now. Not bad for 2 months! ;)

If you have interest incurring debt, pay as much of (or all of) it off as you can with that $5,000. Otherwise, throw it in TFSA and earn some tax free interest while you are figuring out how to make the best use of that money.

What you do to grow your money takes smart, step-by-step planning.

Ok so I am currently enrolled in school and about to get loans from the government for school. Im going to be in school for a year and after that year I'm going to be continuing for another year And also trying to get a loan. I have a few thousand dollars laying around in around in the bank too. What kind of protential ways do I have and what should I do with the money so it doesn't just sit around and not earning any interest or profiting of it

not an expert here but first thing that pops into mind are tfsa, mutual finds, or if ur more risky/aggressive, you can try stocks.

+1 to hookers and blow.. what else could it better used on?

...invest in gold? (real money). Educate yourself on the american economic bubble that is about to burst and decide how you want to prepare for that...

What's the best way to educate myself about the economy? I'm a current student who's taking full time and time consumption is essential to me.

believe it or not, the first book is the most important.

economy is driven by people, who are driven by emotions and other patterns of human behaviour.

if you know macro human behaviour, you'll know markets.

Thanks I just purchased the book on the first link. Was this how you started investing into stocks too or just investing money here and there and learn from experience ?

SoNaRWaVe 08-01-2015 02:50 PM

ilovebacon 08-02-2015 02:37 AM
