Thanks Honda. This vehicle will do much to rebuild your currently sullied image as a producer of sporty and fun to drive cars.

Even the FRS/BRZ isn't selling in huge numbers despite its popularity... unfortunately these days, people are more concerned with other aspects instead of a car that is fun to drive. Look at any modern car. Bluetooth this, iPod that, iPhone that, voice controlled etc.... it's a wonder how people are actually still able to drive.

It was innovative and exciting back in 1999, However the sales was miserable at the end.
FRS/BRZ suck in my opinion. Their 2L NA engine can only produce 200hp, and S2000 was producing 40+hp more with 2L in 1999.
It lacks soul compare to 1990s Japanese cars.
The lack of power and excitement is the biggest problem with FRS too.
Ask yourself, what would you rather have?
1999 Nissan Silvia
2.0L Turbo 250hp
2013 Scion FRS
2.0L NA 200hp

It's a start. Honda really needs to consider bringing more JDM cars into the NA market. The current crop of vehicles in NA is anemic.
I'm in Tokyo right now and makes me sad thinking about the accords and civics we get back at home.

yeah, like this one.
Canada should allow Japanese kei cars.
If scooters/motorcycles are safe enough to be driven on the road, why not kei cars? N-ONE | Honda |

^ Have you driven a Kei car before, Timpo?
It is painful to keep up with the traffic. My family has a Suzuki Kei turbo in Asia, it is a nightmare in that car, it shifts at 4-5k rpm at normal speed, you will shit your pants to go up knight st. / Marine kind of road. Also, fitting 4 people comfortably is impossible.
Sure you can get good fuel economy, but that's only if you drive at 50km/h and let everyone passes you in acceleration.
same as this. |
