I bought the Nikon on my 7mm at PR during their last liquidation. I have wanted to try a good mildot scope and also a FFP scope for some time, this one fit the bill. If I don't like it, I will revert back to my trusted Monarch 3 4-15x50mm.
winston - incubus is just too humble of a man. Try looking here when you need something (and then call or ask incubus if you want something you don't see). I have bought a lot of hard-to-find items here (and a few rifles). https://internationalshootingsupplies.com/
That TS is nice. But I shot my buddie's new UTAS and that is something else.
He's a bit of a shotgun whore, and has a KSG too. I prefer the UTAS though, as you don't have to physically change which feed tube your shells are coming from.
Now that's a first world problem if I've every heard one.
Superbowl - meh. Felt like doing gun stuff - so I mounted my new Swarovski Z5 5-25x52mm BT, mounted my new Redding T7 turret press, and then sized and trimmed 50 rounds of 7mm RM.
Spent the afternoon with my gunpowder family. Tried a few loads through my new 7mm and was trying to dial in this new Swarovski. I know now, I will save and pay for good glass - it makes such a difference.

Haven't followed this thread in a while now but now I need some suggestions.
I wanted to go to the poco gun range this weekend so I was looking up their hours and saw on their site that non members are only allowed on weekdays now. Did I read that right??? If so, where are other local ranges? I haven't used my guns in almost 2 years now and I need to get back to using them.
I'd prefer not to go to DVC but if I must then oh well.

You read that right, weekdays only as weekends got too crazy so they made the change.
Langley has a new range that I have yet to check out since I do PoCo. No idea if it's good but I'll go at least once to try.
Insane prices to use their guns and ammo haha. I can see how its alluring to unlicensed people to get to shoot a gun, but damn those prices are high lol.

The cool thing is you can bring in salvaged vehicles and other shit I believe like printers, tv's, have a party and tear shit up.

I want to learn about long range shooting, so that I can properly make a choice on caliber/twist/barrel length/bullet weight/etc.
Where are good resources to start with? Books? Threads? Lay it on me. Taking a course right now and once I write the final exam, I'm going to dive into this into greater detail.
Thanks

^ long range shooting is a whole other shooting discipline that has many factors to consider, but the biggest two are: you generally need a lot of money to 'do it right', and there are as many opinions as there are shooters.
Most people that get into that discipline also reload, using top end gear for accuracy.
Can it be done 'cheaper', yes, of course. But if you want to get serious and are asking other long range shooters for help, they have a bit of a pay to play attitude, where the rifles often cost over thousands if not over $10k, plus high end glass starts at $3k and up.
If you are on CGN, they have a long range shooting sub-forum and there are many there that can answer any questions you may have. There are a plethara of acronyms to learn, and lots to read on ballistics, scope dope, and then rifles themselves. Personally, I have neither the money nor the time to get into that sport and to 'do it right'.
