got mine from lever, they seem to have the better conditioned 92s. great inexpensive gun to get into shooting. i bought it because i wanted something iconic that didnt break the bank, however once you get a taste for better guns the 92s end up as a safe queen. heel release didnt matter to me as i wasnt using it for competition.

Ended up going to Cabelas on the weekend and picking up the Ruger 10/22 scope combo which I'm pretty happy about and for a decent price I can't go wrong.

Also here is a pic of the good old trusty Russian SKS and I also picked up an Archangel Mag for it

Can't go wrong with Citori man. Great gun to start. I went full retard and got a Blazer. please please please try and shoot other people's gun and get the feel on what you like... Last thing you want is to get a freaking Beretta and not have a good fit (Lot of Asians shoot Beretta cause its italian and its really really not forgiving, facial profile and shoulder length.etc...again, don't take my word, go and try it).

I couldn't go back to shooting standing targets when you start going sporting / skeet.

I picked up a nice Rizzini O/U a few years ago, with the proper stock adjustments it smashes the clays better than I could have hoped. Wasn't cheap, about $4k, but it will be my forever shotgun.

I've shot 725 sporting, Synergy, as well as a few CZ's and some shitty pumps with clays

I actually like the slim grip of the Beretta, feels very comfortable in the hand however i dont like the milling on the action nor do i like the feel of the chunky foregrip relative to that slim trigger grip. Also the action as a whole on the Beretta feels a little clunky i find compared to the brownings, at least in store

I want that forever gun and personally i dont love the look of any of the specific clay guns browning puts out because of their basic markings on the action etc. The 725 sporting is only available in 26" barrel length i beleive which is ideal for hunting but not so much for clays, but it's somthign im willing to sacrifice for that beauty action engravings lol.. vanity item i know but thats what i want

I've only done sporting clays at Vancouver gun club 3 times and skeet 3-4 times in the last 2 years but i'm hooked. My dads buddies shoot tournaments in kamloops and Vernon and once i get my own gun i'll be going out with them i think as well. Really enjoy it

26" barrels will be a disadvantage if you start shooting from the back of the field, which happens often. I would seriously consider 30" barrels. My $0.02

Oh never mind I’m an idiot I didn’t see the drop down menu on the browning site..

There is a 28” option but that’s the biggest they sell. I think all the guns I’ve shot sporting clays with so far have been 28

I've ordered from Lockhart in the past, no issues. Friendly guy.

For Cerakote, I have used Frank at CerakoteBC for several projects and his attention to detail and damn near perfection is commendable. We have become friends over the years, fun guy to go shooting with, located in Hope. That's my AR on his webpage home screen.

Here are my matching AR and 1911 that Frank did for me:

Grips I had custom made, the magazines I took care of on my own.

I got my son to film how the mag looks while firing - was trying to get a decent grip and still see the window, which isn't an easy thing to do on a short barrel .45.

the MK7 is sweet, only have put through about 40rds, but havent had any issues. works like butter, i assume they worked out their kinks. ive seen a lot of positive reviews on the mk7, thats why I chose it over spending more on a stag 10.

...and the f12 is just pure sexual delight! haha

found the link in French just translate it..

https://ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle...dawson-moncton

The Trudeau government wants to act quickly to ban 9 specific types of weapons, many of which are linked to tragedies in the country, and two important categories, which will prohibit 1,500 variants of firearms, Radio-Canada learned.

Ottawa could implement the first part of the reform promised this week during the last election campaign to ban military-type assault weapons.

Radio-Canada was able to obtain the list of weapons that the Minister of Public Safety wants to ban the import, sale and transfer to Canada.

Three criteria guided the government in developing this list. First, it targets weapons with a "semi-automatic mechanism with sustained rapid-fire potential (a tactical or military design capable of accommodating a large-capacity magazine)". Then it targets weapons of modern design. Finally, the government is targeting weapons present in large volumes on the market, that is to say more than 1,000.

In detail, the “provisional list of firearms whose prohibition is recommended” specifically includes nine weapons:

Carbine M16, M4, AR-10 and AR-15 (dramas by Sandy Hook, Las Vegas and Orlando, in the United States, and that of Christchurch, in New Zealand / estimated number in circulation: 83,572)
Ruger mini-14 rifle (Polytechnique drama / estimated number in circulation: 16,859)
Swiss Arms, Classic Green model (estimated number in circulation: 1,342)
M14 rifle (Moncton drama / estimated number in circulation: 5,229)
Vz58 rifle (drama of the Quebec Mosque / estimated number in circulation: 11,593)
Cz Scorpion EVO 3 pistol rifle (estimated number circulating: 1,813)
Beretta CX4 Storm rifle (Dawson College / estimated number in circulation: 1513)
Rifle and pistol SIG Sauer SIG MCX and SIG MPX (estimated number in circulation: 1000)
Armament Robinson XCR (estimated number in circulation: 1834)
And this list also includes two categories:

Caliber more than 20 mm
Initial energy of more than 10,000 joules
Public Safety Canada based its estimate on the 2012 firearms records, which has been increased by 25% to take into account the growth in the number of firearms since that time.

By combining these 9 types of weapons and these 2 categories, the government would be to ban 1,500 variants of firearms in the country.

According to our information, the government could act this week to put in place this ban. Regulatory changes could be published in the Official Canada Gazette as early as Friday.

It is for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to make the decision on this matter.

From the sounds of it the SKS would make those requirements? I'm curious how tf to determine if something has an initial energy of 10kJ but judging by the 20mm caliber I'm guessing only really big stuff has that kind of output?

I'm also assuming they won't buy back any ammo which would annoy people even more.

fire a round through a chronograph and use the muzzle velocity vs the projectile weight to calculate initial energy
