Hoping bike should be ready in the next 7-10 days!!!

I just want to find some red wheel tape locally!

Sunfighter 07-06-2014 04:24 PM

Took a little bit longer but the bike is done. :) VERY happy / relieved. Apparently I can't post any more pics though because I have used all my allocated attachment space.

Done for now. :)

And she is in hibernation for the winter. :)

is that your only bike? or do you have an all season ride as well.

any plans to modify or any specific maintenance you have to do while in the garage

Since the bike is basically just a shell of what it was six months ago there are no real plans to modify over the winter, except for a) new seat and b) new rear turn signals. Those two things are basically the only original parts left. :)

It has brand new oil, coolant, and tires now. It does need a brake service but I will do that at the start of next season. I'm hoping I can stumble across a decently priced set of Brembos over the winter but it's not a "need" by any means. :)

That's a sexy, sexy bike.

tell me what boots those are right now you fuck

Sunfighter 06-06-2015 09:11 PM

Alpinestars Supertech-R

320icar 06-06-2015 11:47 PM

Thank you very much! I've fallen in love

Sunfighter 06-07-2015 07:43 AM

They are fairly pricey so make sure you get an opportunity to try them on first. I love them but if given the opportunity again I'd seriously consider the SIDI Vortice too. I like the Alpinestars because the boots are two-piece: internal booty and outer "shell." I also like the colours that Alpinestars make them in. While the Vortice are black or black/white.

Msg me if you do decide to pursue and I'll let you know the best place in the LM to get them price wise.

i used to have the sidi vortice - hated it as a dual purpose boot so i sold it and got supertech-r

but if it were a dedicated track boot i would be fine with it

it was a pain in the ass to get the boots on so for a daily boot it was a big no-no for me - and were not comfortable to walk around in

overall quality i would rate the supertech-r over the vortice's

Sunfighter 06-08-2015 07:38 PM

That's great information. Thanks greatly for sharing. I feel much better about my purchase now.

320icar 06-08-2015 07:52 PM

That's exactly what I'm looking for. A good boot for longer trips or more... Enthusiastic riding. I already have an everyday boot I'm happy with. But definitely want a pair of boots that I like.

Price is killer though. Gotta pay to play I guess

Holy shit that is a sexy bike

Sunfighter 06-09-2015 01:21 PM

Much appreciated!
