Probably a huge headache. These cars have a lot of weird tech that’s NLA.

By swapping in a different interior. That one is not original to that car. Its a set of 96-99 seats. I can tell by the bolster shape and headrests.
edit: producer beat me to it.

Hard to judge this as a "good buy" but a 2010+ IS-F is rare in of itself. It looks like it ticks all the boxes being local, claim free, etc. My dream daily.

68style 06-04-2019 09:33 AM

^ this one has been for sale for quite awhile now, like you said not many for sale so it’s a bit hard to judge but in my opinion his asking price is too high and that’s why it hasn’t sold.

Badhobz 06-04-2019 09:44 AM

Oy so why isn't my mazzy selling. full dealership records. It's been babied like crazy and totally stock with no accidents or claims. I don't get why nobody's biting.

A bit steep for an ISF and one of the lesser desired colors by the community (i'm a fan myself though).

I got mine for significantly less although it's a 2009 so doesn't have the updated headlights or LSD (only in 2010+) and one of the other local guys got his 2012 same color as the ad for about the same price as posted but 3 years ago and from Alberta.

vitaminG 06-04-2019 11:20 AM

^Isn't the suspension significantly upgraded for 2011? I see the earlier cars go for low 30s all day, hard to justify spending 50% more for that one

Yes, different shocks but same springs i believe. Also the tires are slightly wider on the later years as well. Those aren't as big selling points in my eyes as most people swap in aftermarket suspension and wheels anyway and to your point, you can get an earlier year one easily for low 30's and have some money to customize to your choosing so you're not wasting the factory 'upgrades'. The LSD is definitely the bigger selling point for later years.

Great info smaggs. Thank you. Agreed that the asking price is a bit steep but still a $40K+ car all day being a 2012. The red 2009 for sale for $34,000 is nice but honestly I would pay $10k extra for 30k less kms, 3 years newer and a more bland color. The deep red is pretty nice though.

I'm seriously considering this car. Should I open at $40k and see where it takes me?

JDMDreams 06-04-2019 04:14 PM

^^ Is the sellers name Anthony, let me know?:troll:

I wouldnt compare it to the red ones price as that one is over priced too IMO. Not that it means much but an 08s KBB is 22k if I remember correctly, ahah. 40k for the '12 would be a good deal though. I'll shoot you a PM with some more info

Cheap V8 fun

Before anyone asks, yes, the Northstar got a bunch of reliability improvements when it changed to a RWD configuration.

JDMDreams 06-04-2019 11:01 PM

But the ISF won't fall apart like a M3:pokerface:

westopher 06-05-2019 11:18 AM

I’d rather the car that falls apart.

jasonturbo 06-05-2019 11:39 AM

I really like the ISF, I also really like the E9X M3... if the ISF was made with a manual box I would have bought one long ago.

Note that the rear seats of the ISF do not fold down, this is an issue for some people.

320icar 06-05-2019 12:05 PM

Does anyone remember in early April there was a jdm import Mitsubishi pajero evo for sale. The CL posting is gone. Was curious what the dealership was

Cause the instant millionaire who bought as much real estate as the bank would let them are in a bit of a bind. Lol

I was looking at used GSFs and their rear seats do not fold down either.

Energy 06-06-2019 03:31 PM

Lexus sedans unfortunately do not have fold down rear seats. Not sure about the latest models but the older ones never had it which is a bit of a pain.
