Does the 128i also suffer from a lot of front tire foldover? Or is that just strictly an e46 thing? Also, I think the 128i won't result in about 15K of work to be track-ready. It also doesn't have the M54B30 oil pump nut issue, which is something I wish I knew about since I wanted to use my e46 to track. I should really get that done ...

Haha, haters gonna hate. For the record - I am a hardcore E36 guy and my E36 was a far better looking car than the 128, no argument from me. Although the 1 series is growing on me - with the right wheels and stance, it helps it a lot.

Either way, once I'm in the car, the 128 is a better ride as a street car and a racecar.

Lol I actually do love the 1 series. Just wanted to bust balls back at the e36 jab.

E82 bros

The outer edge of the front tires of the 1M will get destroyed at the track without more negative camber. I have Vorshlag camber plates on order.

You could say that with just about any car though. It’s not a BMW issue, it’s a track driven car with street alignment issue. Any car you push hard enough to get any understeer will do that.

At least every BMW made in the last 30 years. They all have like 0.5 degrees camber from factory and want like -3.5 for serious track use. Camber plates are the solution for the e82, as they were for the e46, the e36 before that...

That guy's garage, I want one lift, never mind 3 (that we can see) and the cars he's got in there

How did you find that ad, are you just casually shopping for a Messerschmidt KR200 on CL as we all do?

I thought that manufacturer only built aircraft - they did build those "ME-109" fighters!

I haven't been finding many good deals lately...

Also, Christ, are people charging stupid prices for JDMs. I remember 6 years ago, you could get a TT Mark IV Supra for around $18K. Now people want $28K for an N/A version.

Fuck outta here

Came across these 2 that I think are good deals. Not spectacular deals, but good deals nonetheless:

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van...922790949.html

2006 Boxster -- $19k
139k km
Porsche Club member
upgraded IMS bearing

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/pml...919009495.html

2006 Boxster -- $19.5k
160k

If I may say so, the base car actually looked a little more appealing to me since it is PCA-CWR member owned, and has the IMS bearing upgraded.

If the Boxster S checks out, I'd consider that to be a good deal too. Didn't know these 987 Boxsters can be had for under $20k. If they were Caymans instead of Boxsters, I'd be all over that first one.

Owner of the first car is a stand up dude. These are great - would love to grab one for summer cruising
