I think this is worth quite a bit more down in the states, whoever has time and could do a nice flip down south
This lima brain has been selling this for ages. He POSTS (not re-posts) a fresh ad every day despite leaving one or two of his older ads up. He had the price down to $6400 last week. Now I read the above ad and not only does he raise the price $2500 but calls out another car in Mission (that is beat up by that owner's own admission).
Sure you can do a flip down south but IMO, some people just aren't worth the effort of contacting...
Too bad it isn't about flipping cars to lose money, I'm really good at that.

People on Lexus forums say the 2gs is built better than 3gs, 3gs has more squeaks and rattles. 430 motor is the same legendary 3uzfe, I think 300 had carbon build up issues, not sure about the 350

Bank robbery is a lost art in the world of today. No longer do criminals acquire getaway cars, carefully plan their escapes and hire qualified wheelmen. These days, they walk in with a note claiming they have a gun in their paper bag, and then the money is handed over, or they just sit at home, and steal on the internet. Pretty boring stuff if you ask us. What happened to the days of getting 3 Mini Coopers and going to Italy, or a Jason Statham and a Black E38 750i? Gone and forgotten a time it was. But the question is, if you needed a getaway car for a modern-day heist, what would be the last word? We think it's the machine poised before you. This is the 2013 Jaguar XFR-S.
You might take one look at this mundane looking saloon car and think "A grey haired old man probably drives that car in the left lane of the highway at 10 under the speed limit". Oh, how wrong you would be. With the XFR-S, it's as if you are wearing a fanny pack, but inside, concealed carrying a full-sized Glock 21. Stomp on the accelerator, and you, your henchmen and all of your stolen bearer bonds better hold on. With 550 Horsepower and 501Ft lbs of Torque below your right foot, 0-60mph comes up in 4.2 seconds and the quarter mile goes by in 12.5 seconds at 116 Mph.
Spoiler!
This is thanks to the lightning fast 8 speed automatic transmission that has a torque converter but shifts seemingly as fast as something with a dual clutch arrangement. Keep your foot planted and this cat will top out at 186 Mph.
So, you've got sheer speed. That's needed. But what is also needed is something that doesn't fall to pieces once you reach a corner. With spring rates 30% stiffer than a stock XFR, a quicker steering rack, adaptive shocks, and stiffer bushings and subframe in the rear end, you can be sure that your precious cargo and you, will be able to corner carve until the flashing lights all but disappear from your rearview mirror. The 8-speed gearbox also will hold the gear for you mid corner, allowing you to transition, without it jumping from gear to gear, so that you stay in the powerband, no matter what. Connect all this to a heated Napa leather steering wheel with shift paddles, and your fingertips will flutter with delight.
The rest of the XF experience goes unchanged in this Ultimate edition of the Ultimate Jaguar XF, with heated and cooled seats, Bluetooth connectivity, Meridian Premium surround sound, Rich Napa leather, power rear sunshade, and a power sunroof to top it all off. Sure, you could go for a more mundane getaway car with more electronic gimmicks, but for the steak and potatoes approach of simply fast, there is no better choice than a fast Jag. Not only that, but in Stratus Grey metallic, we agree, this feline looks as sinister as its hidden performance makes it out to be. All that's left for you is to decide now, is which bank to withdraw from first.
Absolutely brilliant copy-writing! It definitely reads like an ad, you get all the necessary information, with a twist.
Was expecting it to go into a speel about how the art of robbery is now the art of depreciation and the new form of robbery. Take this car away from me so I can stop feeling robbed every time I consider trading/selling the car. Leaving disappointed.
$7,500 for an '07 Volvo S80, with only 96,000 km in 12 years. I believe by '07 they had addressed the balance shaft bearing issue (there was a recall for it). If the engine is from a later run or the recall is done, this truly is an amazing engine. Crazy amount of tech, comfort (EG ventilated seats in an '07 car) and safety features for that era. He seems to "know what he's got!" but still has priced it pretty reasonably.
Seller put some effort into the write up on his ad but diminished the curb appeal by posting it with a lead picture of the car with the hood up. Makes it look like the car is broken and being worked on.
A little background information: When this body style of S80 first came out, the base model had a 3.2 6 cylinder engine which provided satisfactory performance - great if you aren't too concerned about speed and are happy puttering around town. Volvo knew it had to compete with other mid sized luxury sedans that offered more powerful engine options so what did they do ? They shoehorned the Yamaha designed 4.4 60 degree V8 under the hood. This really woke the car up giving it 315 HP and 325 lb-ft especially when paired with a slick gearbox and Volvo's "4C Active Chassis" suspension.
Specifications:
- 4.4 V8 (Have you ever been aboard a fighter jet upon take-off ? Enough said....)
-6 Speed Aisin-Warner gear box (These transmission's do not fail.)
-"4C" suspension with three modes : Comfort, Sport and ADVANCED (Depends on your mood that day)
-AWD (Keep yourself safe, but can be disabled)
- The most comfortable seats available (Heated and cooled too !)
-Navigation
-Radar cruise control (Speeds up and slows down for you
-Blind spot monitoring system (Yes, on a 07)
-Killer sound system (iPod, USB and AUX integration)
-Keyless push start and keyless entry
-Moonroof
- Brakes with terrifying stopping power - overkill for the application
- Center resonator delete (Exhaust system is phenomenal, sounds exotic)
-Much more that I am forgetting
-Silver on black (Fairly neutral color combination that suits most people)
- Very very reliable. This Yamaha made V8 has no Achilles heel - No timing chain issues, no PCV issues, No temperature related issues either.
This car has been an absolute blast to own. It is an absolute wolf in a sheep's clothing. The last car you would expect to see go tearing by you at great speed with a terrifying exhaust tone would be a Volvo S80, but here you are !
You are guaranteed to have the ability to smoke most vehicles on the road today. Yaris be gone. Civic be gone. Assorted BMW's be gone. Tough guys in Mercedes C350 - Ciao. 2000 MUSTANG GT OWNERS - Adios !
All this while maintaining excellent fuel economy !
Fun Fact - 0-60 time is 0.2 seconds off of an Automatic 2007 Audi S4. The S80 accomplishes this with nearly 25% more weight.
Guys, I've had a bit of fun with this ad so thank you for the read ! If you have any questions or want to see more photos, let me know and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
