As with most cars like that, it's a great deal if someone wants exactly that build but to everyone else it isn't. E30's have a decent fan base though so hopefully he'll get some decent offers amongst all the lowballers and insulting clowns (not directed at anyone here, I'm guessing he'll get some pretty rude emails through CL). |
I know it’s JDM but seems like a great price for a clean turbocharged (MR2 Turbo motor) AWD wagon/HB with a extremely tuneable motor and Recaro seats? Only minus is automatic. https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...956114568.html Caldina for $6,950obo |

That’s all. Cool cars for sure |
looks amazing for a 2002 |
The Caldina should have roughly the same drivetrain as the Celica GTFour (open front and rear diffs, viscous coupler in the middle). Only the N Spec has the torsen rear LSD though. With the LSD in the back that drivetrain should have no issues kicking the rear out on loose surfaces, assuming the torsen and viscous coupler aren't worn out which can happen. The 3rd gen Caldinas were only available with an auto which is annoying since I like the looks so much better than the 2nd gen (which you can get in manual). |
Looks pretty good https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van...958699960.html 1998 Honda Civic Hatchback CX - 263KM -New tires -New shocks -New brakes -New ignition control module and ignition switch (had a common problem starting when I bought it, now fixed) -No leaks (engine, body or transmission) -Performance header. This gives the car a Check Engine Light. You can scan the codes, it is the only problem. -Front strut brace -Great daily driver -Good on fuel (7L/100km) -Fully functioning AC -Tow hitch -Recently changed: oil, fuel filter, spark plugs, distributor cap -Comes with new shifter bushings and extra oil filter. -Well maintained, must see. |

I owned a Caldina in the same spec last year. Recaros was sweet. Good on paper but wasnt a fun car to drive nor was it good on gas. Had a lot of cool toys such as back up camera with turning gridlines (wifes requirement) and lane depature warning for a 2002, which is quite amazing. It also needs 94 to prevent knocking due to JDM tuning. The Altezza Gita (IS300 sportcross) with the 2J is a better overall car. U can get them in Awd or Rwd with LSD. Im back in an Altezza now. |
https://images.craigslist.org/00A0A_...Q_1200x900.jpg https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...957421917.html I'm no expert at these and this does have high mileage but 1 owner, local, full history and 3 keys could imply it was well taken care of. |

should have no problems getting collector plates |
The collectors plate program is such a joke. The number of rusted out crap boxes with c plates is staggering. |

The last time this car was listed on CL, I was kinda keeping an eye on the ad to see how low it would go. The price dropped down to ~$9K before it disappeared off CL. Guy will be lucky to gat $12.5K or anything near it: it’s really not worth much more than a regular W203. |
Thoughts on the price, at $48k? https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...955352360.html Maybe same car too: https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...956037449.html Hard to find an used 2014+ model for sale that's not a GTS / GT4. |
sub 50k 981, pretty nice retail price if accident free. |

Just saying... I mean ICBC is only as good as the photos they receive on the application. Anyone not maintaining or modifying their car after getting plates is risking not being covered in an accident (or having to pay back the full rate of insurance). You can do your part by reporting them too if it's bothering you a lot. |
Seems like its the same car for all 3 of these ads $51,995 - https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...956037449.html $48,888 - https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...955352360.html $48,850 - https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rch...948917035.html Has a few basic options ticked off, like PCM and heated seat from what I can tell. Not bad for sub-$50k. This one at $52k has a a beautiful blue exterior, nicer rims, and much more options. But not fan of the beige interior https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van...946694997.html |

^ Yes it is... and you can't transfer collector plates, you have to re-apply for plates if you buy it from an owner. Also he's not telling the truth about the price, that $178 is for basic only, no 3rd party or collision & comp. I just got collector plates for my MR2 Turbo and everything all together at as much discount as you can possibly get was $501 for the year. Still way cheaper than $1700 for normal insurance, but not $178 cheap as he is saying. |

Half the Miatas running around with C plates have rusted out rockers and 1/4. The folks at ICBC must be blind or there is some photoshop going on when they are submitting applications. |

been reviewing ICBC's collector application. says ok with "era correct" accessories. makes me wonder about steering wheels..... wonder if theyre ok with an era correct "dealer option from japan" steering wheel. |
Modified collectors is actually 1974 and prior. Era correct steering wheel should be fine. I got my plates while listing my TRD strut braces as era correct and in plain view in the photos. You may want to look into the legality of replacing an airbag steering wheel with one that doesn’t have an airbag though (if that’s the case). |
