All A/C parts
$16,000 obo

Has anyone seen this car? This is probably the least expensive S2000 out there that's sub-200k kms. The valve retainers have been done which is a plus. Seems like its a little rough around the edges though.

If the mazdaspeed engine is still a BP engine, they are tough as hell. Stemming back to the 323GTX days.

it's an in-house turbo unlike the ms protege that uses an off-the-shelf unit that is known to have a lot of variability when it comes to performance
i would guess there's no concerns daily'ing a well-kept msmiata
do note that turbo kicks in like 4k and redline is a limiting 6.5k
it looks amazing though and has a nice chassis upgrade over a standard NB
for several thousands more s2000 makes way more sense (more collectible desirability too)...but realize yellow AP1 may take longer to sell/get a lower price Quote:

Having driven a manual transmission my entire driving life of 20 years and having never had to replace a clutch once, I’m thinking that a clutch replacement at 100k is probably not a good sign.

I don’t think 100k is absurd... that said, I only ever replaced a clutch on a Taurus SHO but it had an absolute shit factory clutch haha

for something that's considered a consumable...why isn't a clutch more accessible/servicable like a brake job/valve adjustment?
you'd think for it being around for decades and decades they would make it easier to replace (more part sales to diy folks)

^ me: oh i need to replace the guibo.. oh might as well do the driveshaft bearing bushings too, oh i need to take off the exhaust hmm maybe i should do smt with the exhaust, oh im gonna need to refresh diff bushings and subframe bushings at one point and i'll need to take the driveshaft down.. maybe i should reinforce the subframe.
And that's how i did engine/trans mounts, guibo, driveshaft bearings and u joints, RTABs and RTAB shim limiters, all in one go LOL

What's the market on one of these Ferrari 360 Spyders? Looks cool, it'll only cost you a pretty penny to the tune of $99,900 + doc fee. A much newer (2015) 911 Carrera and (2017) 718 Cayman costs about the same. https://www.weissach.com/listings/20...-vancouver-bc/

F1 transmission & spyder = less desireable car. It would be a great deal if it was manual, berlinetta hence the price. There is probably a non-enthusiast buyer out there looking to show off in a Ferrari that will think that is the ideal spec. Quote:

I'd get a f430 as they aren't that much more and the F1 tranny is much better built in those than the earlier ones. If you just want a Ferrari engine just get a used mazzy for like 1/2 it's price. Same engine, roughly the same performance, but I guess less brand cachet than the F car. Maz sounds better too. Stock for stock.
Also these things are actually quite reliable. The engines are at least. That F1 tranny is a bit of a disaster but if you get the Maz, you can just get the normal ZF 6 speed which is ultra reliable.
