why buy someone else's swap? at least no rust
wait for a clean sir or gs-r and collector plate it in a few years

fliptuner 09-19-2019 11:54 PM

That's literally the cost of the swap parts and shell.

SiR and GSR's are both heavier.

welfare 09-20-2019 04:19 AM

OooOOoohhh. They put a sunroof in too. Gangster.
Looks like a good buy for sure. Wonder what the actual mileage is on it.

twitchyzero 09-20-2019 05:29 AM

always thought the hatch/coupe weight delta was 150lbs or so....damn 300-400lbs more?

68style 09-20-2019 06:29 AM

I had a hatch once years ago and put AC in it, same dash just swap it out with some ducting and condenser it was pretty easy with junkyard parts. Also put in power locks lol!

That's why the dream of swapping my EK went down the tubes. The cost of swapping just isn't worth it when you can get a complete swap for the same price.

Btw, does anyone want a clean titled EK with blown motor and trans?
It has a 5 lug ITR brake conversion, and some 16" Gram Lite wheels too.

B16, EK hatch, $3k

I would've at least painted the VC and got rid of the AC lines, prior to listing. Which has me wondering, I've never seen a hatch with AC.

328k on SiR Cluster but was told there’s 200k on Motor/Tranny Runs Really Good and Not Burning Oil.

Engine hasn't hit VTEC then:alone:

^ getting close to 40 yr old porsche.... okay more like 35..... but yea... I would say everything lol.....

someone change my mind

westopher 09-21-2019 03:24 PM

You can get more specific than that but realistically, your mind should not be changed because you’re right.

SkunkWorks 09-21-2019 04:09 PM

IMO that's way overpriced for a base 944. Sure, first year model but really isn't all that collectors grade.

punkwax 09-21-2019 07:10 PM

No such thing as a poor man’s Porsche these days..

68style 09-21-2019 09:49 PM

If you can turn a wrench the early 911’s aren’t so bad but other than that they’re very much live by the seat of your pants/hope and pray cars...

been for sale on and off all summer. He's just slightly high $ relative to the market, and the old boys with money want all original cars.

I'd be all over it at 30

twitchyzero 09-22-2019 03:40 PM
