These 135i's are hidden gems, they depreciate more than any other BMW, so you can usaully find them cheap. $1,000 in parts/tune gets you to 400HP and you have BMW performance with one of their lightest platforms.

I preferred my 04' over the 05'. The smaller bolt pattern wasn't an issue outside of the track. But the mechanical diff and rwd bias made for a really fun car to drive. That car could powerslide with the best of them.

But my 06' was the pinnacle of the STi brand. The electronic diffs would not allow that car to break traction. It just stuck to the road. Totally different styles of driver's car. But both were a lot of fun in their own ways.

$12,500. Isn't the general rule the cost of actual vehicle?

Not sure if that's the rule to go by, but an e46, general rule is 10K USD. And the N54s are significantly more unreliable

Interesting feedback

More the reason to like the 2004 more as I personally prefer the raw feeling and tail happy goodness of a “fun car”.

04 it is.

Depends, if you do all the work yourself, they are not expensive to own.

If get a dealership to fix your car, you should never own a used BMW.

Wouldn't say that's a great deal, the 4th gen TL wasn't loved. The 3.7 305hp v6 and sh-awd were great but heavy and the car itself drove hefty. With the damaged door and front bumper I would say 7 is fair.

Here's one with no damage and less km for $8500

I saw that on AutoTrader earlier this month (possibly last month). Seems he's taken down the AT ad as I can't find it anymore.

The description seems legit and it says it's a local car, but the pictures used is from a car in Fontana, California. Why no pictures of the actual car?

Oh it's so cool, I want to believe it's real.

Maybe the seller is not tech savvy enough to upload photos to CL so he just used stock photos found on te interwebz? It drives me nuts having to convert heic images to jpeg to use them on CL...

The description seems legit with the seller talking about going into Jaguar Richmond to complete the sale.

^ or it's some weird tactic to get people to go to the dealer. "Too bad he didn't show up, but while you're here want to take a look at our excellent used inventory?"

I’ve got a 4G and while I wouldn’t be tossing it into corners, they are pretty decent handling cars for the size. Make sure timing belt was done on cars over 160k and trans/rear diff fluids are done every second oil change. My only gripe is the poor fuel economy and premium fuel, but I drive less than 5000km a year so it’s negligible.

F types have held their value it seems. Not exactly sure why that is when the comparable Mercedes and BMW coupes / vert have dropped like a stone.

Yeah I was looking at GS F and IS F's, I would suspect it's because the F is more reliable than the counter part.

Unless you mean Jag f-Types, then I have no idea.

I meant the jag’s. Like an XF jag ain’t worth shit the minute they roll off the lot. But the f type is holding strong.

Maybe just here?

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sf...000313236.html

This is going for 36k usd for a 2014 V8 Supercharged model seems pretty reasonable

If anyone is looking for a new / near new Boxster:

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/Porsche/...0831155617597/

asking $74k, 500km on odo, appears to be a "stripper" Boxster S

For what it is worth, a brand new Boxster S MSRPs at $81k, so you are getting a $7k / 8% discount for the 500km on the odo. It appears to be a stripper model, with no optional equipment on the car at all.

If I were looking for a Boxster, this would have been very tempting...
