1985 GN with upgraded 1987 GN power plant

hud 91gt 12-19-2019 04:43 PM

If that’s a real GN, that’s the cheapest one I’ve seen in a very very long time.

It's weird. Wrong badges on the hood, correct dash badges and vin has 7 or 9 on the 8th digit. His story lines up, WE on the tag is a GNX, W0 is factory turbo.

Mine melted its own cats due to audi's design locating them right off the headers. Have to drop the trans to get em out so its a 10hr labor time.

Audi Canada denied the emissions warranty. Very common issue with these especially once tuned. $4k job at dealer to replace one side.

$129k for 2017 Acura NSX 22k kms. Seems really cheap and suspect it rebuilt. From a dealer though.

22,000km in 2 years for a supercar? Damn son

Traum 12-20-2019 11:25 AM

At least the owner put the car to some use, instead of just letting it sit and rot as a garage queen.

whitev70r 12-21-2019 12:15 PM

For $5K, I'd be all over it!

TheStig 12-21-2019 04:39 PM

2011 Subaru WRX hatchback $13,500

Just a heads up if anyone is planning to take a look at it. It's an American import. Drives mechanically fine from a short test drive.

Cosmetic wise, the front bumper is a tad out of alignment. Front left fender inner liner is loose. Claims that there are no claims or accidents.

JoshuaWong 12-21-2019 05:36 PM

They trade for less at dealer wholesale. Since the start of production, our internal shows they lose on average $95 a day based on data compiled at beginning of 2019.

Rebuilt once are like $90k or less.

Still, great car. Compelling deals.

GRs are known to have poorly attached bumpers and liners especially.

Friend has a 2000 V70R AWD Phase 3? (the one with dual exhaust and 5AT) if any of you guys are all over a 5k broken piece of Swedish engineering in a wagon form with an auto.

It is RHD and imported from Japan. Exterior and interior is mint, but spent over 3k and repairs and no end in sight. It has 140k km on it iirc.

He would be very happy if any of you would take it away for 5k.

whitev70r 12-24-2019 12:49 PM

Yah no ... NA parts are already hard to get and expensive. A JDM RHD ... no thanks. Never heard of phase 3, all V70R's have dual exhaust.

Plus, been there and done that with the 2000 V70R ... if you have a friend that has a low mileage 2007 V70R ... post up.

Sweden made a big deal switching from RHD to LHD

to go for RHD on a Volvo esp on Canadian roads seems strange

and i'm one of the few here that finds RHD feeling more natural

2014 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor. $5500. AWD 3.5L Ecoboost TT with 138K. Seems like a whole lot of bang for buck for a winter vehicle. On the island though

Edit: well he has gone from $6000 to $5500 to now $6500 with sale pending. Just an FYI

Yeah, but that was 50 years ago. They make plenty of RHD cars.

However, it's a fair point that since they did LHD versions of this car, a RHD is less desirable here.

Gerbs 12-25-2019 10:31 AM

Are those old Volvo Wagons reliable? I see them sometimes for $2k, seems like a good winter beater.
