These are things that are not swappable between models within the DC2 chassis. VIN should read DC231 for the ITR chassis in North America. Dealers also offered a sunroof but it would be installed at the dealership, not the factory. There is one floating around the US that a friend of mine owned for a while.
Mindbomber: no Milano Red ITR's in North America unfortunately. Only JDM, UKDM and EDM markets received those. I'm actually looking to import an EDM ITR in Milano Red someday but the exchange rate is pretty shitty now and the EDM pricing is out of control. EDM = LHD and North America front end. | Thank you for the correction on the colour and sunroof. The EDM MR ITRs being LHD threw me off, and I knew dealers offered a/c as a dealer installed option for early ITRs but did not know they offered sunroofs as well.

^^correct. The Swiss market had a Yellow(which is the same color code as PY but called Sunlight Yellow) equipped with yellow stitch shift boot and Momo wheel and the Yellow Recaro seats and yellow rears. I believe Australia offers it as well but it's RHD.

The importers list them for around $10,000-12,000. It's possible to get one from the states (or locally, if you're patient) in okay condition for that price though, and personally, I would prefer an okay condition LHD to a good condition RHD.

I used to hate convertibles. but for some reason, many of them have grown on me and I kinda want one. I might get a E46 M3 if the right one comes by and my money gets returned.

I brought my car over from Nanaimo, ferry fees for the day was almost 400 bucks for a family of 4 so less if you bring less people but i'd imagine you want to bring people to help check the car out.

I took 3 buses, skytrain, seabus, ferry and a tour bus to buy a car in Port Alberni. Cost about $100 in travel.
I'm going to call the Volvo guy tomorrow. Thanks.
