not mine, but affiliated - it's extremely clean, bought from the original owner in the neighborhood after asking after it for a couple of years. I think they did the deal over ice cream cones at the Welcome Parlour.

I thought he should ask more for it actually - great all original car. If it was a CRX in the same shape there would be a lineup at that price.

He should do a little photo shoot with it, ad needs pics that show how clean it really is.

So..... if it was a completely different car it would be worth it?

This dude has been trying to sell this for literal years.

i mean among it's peers, these cars are slept on.

if you don't think it belongs in this thread, that's fine. I didn't post it - I posted my opinion of the price, and provided more info on this specific car.

So you'd basically be pulling a Itsuki Takeuchi if you buy that car then? :lol

Higher KM but if well maintained and driven in nice weather, it could be a fun toy. Nice colour too.

bcrdukes 01-20-2020 02:47 PM

Nice car, but I do not agree with the use of 0W-40 oil. It's too thin for this motor and it decreases the life span of the cooling system. This engine runs really hot with this grade of oil. Something to watch out for if you plan on daily driving it. Okay if it's a garage queen (but why even buy it?)

That car looks in amazing condition for the mileage, that is if those photos are not from 6 years ago. Some sellers do that, post older photos of their car.
If properly maintained, personally I wouldn't be afraid of the higher km.

Edit: first mod, replace the tires to Michelin or Potenzas. General tires no good on an M3 :heckno:

westopher 01-20-2020 04:19 PM

That e36 is a steal. You wouldn’t get mine for anywhere near that.

03 - 530i - 98k miles - manual - $4900

Mentions price is firm, but if its been for sale that long, they might consider an offer.....

That’s how they are from the factory. The metallic flake is in the clear coat, and BMW doesn’t spray the engine bay, inside the trunk etc. It just gets primer/base coat.

tofu1413 01-21-2020 08:11 AM

M3 LTW look Sedan....... :considered:

- Smells like meth / aids who knows
- Interior is probably the most disgusting thing I have ever been inside
- Frame is not bad, but the rear passenger quarter is completely rusted through and you can see outside, conveniently next to the exhaust so it becomes a gas chamber
- I would not even use this as a bush truck Lol. Runs like shit.
- Missing passenger window and smokers window

It is a very cool car though. I love these trucks. I was out the door as soon as it was posted ready to buy it if it checked out.

I'm just curious. RS seems to buy a lot of cars. What are you guys doing with them? Insurance on a beater is still $1500-2k. Do you guys spend like 10k a year on insurance or does everyone just have massive houses and you can store them indefinitely?

tofu1413 01-21-2020 10:50 AM

^ we $13.85 dolla balla's by June.

Well, personally I wouldn't buy optional coverage on a beater or a cheap car... so it's more like $800-ish depending on the car.

I have a few projects on the go, most are on storage insurance. Couple collector plates ($500 total each) and a main car. I'm probably in it for about $3000 a year.

It's still an auto, LS/GS with a brown interior, for the price of a decent GS-R/RSX-S

Badhobz 01-21-2020 01:48 PM

friend of mine just bought a 2011 328xi (e90) 1 owner, dealership serviced, 140,000kms, $8500. Anything specific she needs to look out for? i guess since it has the same engine as my wife's 128i, the usual culprits like valve cover gasket, oil pan, tensioners, and small shit like windshield wiper fluid tank pump.

Otherwise i think its pretty reliable yah?
