Can confirm this. I checked out the red ef yesterday. Shell is fairly clean, small rust hole at bottom of 1/4 panel on driver side, plastic panels missing under steering column, heater isnt working for whatever reason, starts without keys as it has push button start, drivers seat has seen better days, seems to run well.

Would make a good car for a new driver.

$800 car
$4,000 insurance

twitchyzero 01-27-2020 09:30 AM

good for teaching people how to drive stick, then dump it for few hundred more

Traum 01-27-2020 09:34 AM

Holy... is it even a real ad? How can something like that be so cheap? At 140k, the engine is almost like it hasn't even reached 1/2 of its useful service life yet.

tofu1413 01-27-2020 09:52 AM

at 140k its "just broken in"

Look where we live. So many people trying to keep up with the Jones'. They just see it as a 20yo pos with no options. Where as we see it as cheap, reliable, presentable, transportation. For $800 that thing is basically free.

twitchyzero 01-27-2020 06:04 PM

the average person looking for a 20 year old corolla probably wants auto, hence this one has to be priced more aggressively

bcrdukes 01-27-2020 06:09 PM

Do people even know how to drive manual anymore? :lol It probably hasn't been stolen because thieves can't figure how to get it to start moving.

fliptuner 01-27-2020 06:17 PM

Given the mileage and how it showed in the pics, $2k-$2500 would be aggressively priced. $800 is "I'm going to use the money to buy a new iPhone."

2006 M5 V10 That i converted to a 6 speed Manual. Transmission and components were sourced from a wrecked M6. New clutch was installed at the same time. There are no faults or Check control errors in the car and all the wiring and programming was completed for this car to be exactly the same as if it had left the factory with the manual transmission.

BE upgraded Rod bearings installed about 1000km ago.

Millennials are 24-39. You're thinking of Gen Z.

bcrdukes 01-28-2020 06:52 AM

I'd go as far to say that even a majority of Millennial and Gen Z'ers do not know how to drive manual. The only ones who do are the ones I've become friends with from Revscene. :lol
