Now I'm curious what's so special about page 1100. Especially since people can customize the number of posts per page so not everyone would be on 1100.

whitev70r 01-28-2020 10:16 PM

Any luminati theories as to why the number 1100 caused white page?

tofu1413 01-28-2020 10:50 PM

revscene gods didn't see good enough deals.

2004 Saab 9-3 Aero Convertible - $4000

https://images.craigslist.org/00s0s_...lS_600x450.jpg

4 cylinder, 6-speed standard Black on 2-tone grey leather. Clean title. Local car. 2 owners. No accidents. Runs great. Looks nice. Receipts for work done during my ownership. The top is in really good condition as are all of the seals. Car has always been garage kept. 0 rust. The windshield will need replacing but beyond that it's been a reliable, fun, safe car. $4000 FIRM. Not entertaining any other offers. Email if interested. Thanks

How does this one look?

68style 01-29-2020 11:37 PM

Seems like a decent price considering the low mileage and all the extras it includes? 320icar would know best......... doesn't say whether the headgasket issue was addressed though (or if it came with the right one in the first place)... way cheaper than any I could find for sale in the USA anyway!

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rch...057367839.html

320icar 01-30-2020 02:15 AM

Virtually every 2016 and 2017 should have had the recall done. Great list of mods, all of them exactly what should be done to make the car feel better.

There was a grey one for sale for ever for 32k but it was a fake ad. 39,000 is about as cheap as it gets.

tofu1413 01-30-2020 10:07 AM

yeah i havent really seen low 30s RS'es yet.

seems to be holding upper 30s on retail price.

1988 735i / 197km - $500

donjalapeno 01-30-2020 04:58 PM

Not necessarily a good buy given the work it needs unless your handy and not the most handsome old Toyota but I have a soft spot for these. My dad's first car in Canada was one of these and his first job in Canada was delivering pizzas. He said he would stuff 10+ pizza bags in the Celica in the middle of winter in Ottawa and he would beat every other delivery driver back to the restaurant. He also had the slowest car out of all the other delivery drivers. Good car to beat around and abuse.

Also, Didn't know these Astons depreciate this much. Looks decent for 38k. V8 + Manual

tofu1413 01-30-2020 05:02 PM

big hit on the aston apparently

the celica is more like a 2k car since it stutters and need wiper motor. although the shell doesnt look too bad......

cool seats. super comfy supra style seats in the GTS.

Stumbled across this.. unicorn..?.. maybe not a good buy overall, but for the right city-slicker, this could be the perfect little vehicle so thought I’d share :lol

whitev70r 01-31-2020 06:58 PM

Anyone want to start a unicorn thread? I love unicorns but they are almost always over priced and a bit out of place here but yet it is so satisfying to post that unique find!

westopher 01-31-2020 07:03 PM

An exciting cars for sale thread would be good, but since there are only two threads anyone posts in on RS anymore, and this being one of them, we should just change it to interesting/good/terrible/hilarious buys thread. Really its been that since the beginning.

whitev70r 01-31-2020 07:07 PM

True dat.

What's the other ... Coronavirus?

punkwax 01-31-2020 07:13 PM

^this is true. Then no one needs to add “not a good buy” disclaimers and no one replies with “that’s not a good buy”.

Maybe “Not Your Average CL Ad Thread” and whoever posts can start with their thoughts on it such as:

Good buy:
Unicorn spotting:
Hilarious:
WTF:
Etc..

I agree this thread is definitely not all about good buys and could be named more appropriately.

whitev70r 01-31-2020 07:18 PM

But then you water this thread down and you have to scroll through so many just to find a truly good buy. Part of me likes to keep one just as good buy and maybe another one for the Unicorn, WTF, Seller smoking weed, A+ for being witty, Rebuilts that I actually might consider, etc.

What's the other ... Coronavirus?

It rotates between
Canadian politics thread
Trump thread
Real estate thread
Latest pic of your whip thread
All dependant on the time of year.

Could happen unless people actually do state what kinda deal they think it is first.. A specific good deals thread could disappear quickly since history here dictates there really aren’t many and it’s also subjective.

That said, I don’t captain this ship nor do I really care so if you or someone wants to start an alternate CL thread please do SeemsGood

bcrdukes 01-31-2020 07:59 PM

If we create more threads, it would only dilute the posting, leading to the demise of this forum.

westopher 01-31-2020 08:37 PM

Seriously. Look at the 50 subforums no one has posted in for like 7 months.

punkwax 01-31-2020 08:58 PM

Seems changing the thread title to something more inclusive is the answer then..
