Mileage is unlisted, so I suspect it will likely be on the higher side. Man, why are old Honda econoboxes so expensive these days? When I was a kid, these things were probably 6G's all day long at with 1/3 of the mileage and age. An EP3 SiR hatch is half the price.
Needs OOP? Car is from Alberta. It's smg so boo. But those wheels are worth at least 3.5K? Assuming mint condition. Nothing at that "build list" screams wow to me.
Doesn't look like the owner modded it for track, so I'm not sure why he put poly "race-spec" in the RTABs. RTABs even for track just needs OEM+shim limiter. I've been advised never to put poly there anyway. A lot of the mods seem "cheap" (?), It's all American: AFE, Magnaflow, etc.
It's definitely not something I would consider a good buy, but that might be because everything about that car screams NO to me.

Maybe someone can enlighten me but I don't see the appeal of this over an m2 competition for basically the same price
Could say the same thing about any older classic that’s skyrocketed in price over their newer more modern sibling. It’s not always the most power or tech that wins the “dem feels” race

1M will increase in value while M2 comp will drop like a rock in value. If you are looking for a driver, the M2 is a far superior car. If you want a toy that will not decrease in value, get a 1M. But then again $60K is 993 money. I would much rather have a 993 or 997.

Being exclusive it will inflate the pricing by quite a bit as Z3guy said. The M2 Comp is a better driver's car overall, it'll perform better in every way but for the collector, the 1M will always be better.
As much as I love the 1M, for 15k you can buy a 135i with a dual clutch that the 1M never came with. MHD tune it to 400hp which is more than a stock 1M, upgrade tires/suspension. Save yourself 45-60k and have a better car.

As much I love an underdog I think a 135 with its narrow track can't have the suspension geometry that the 1M has thus no matter how you tune the suspension it won't be as good as the 1M.
I could be wrong but I'm just thinking on why the 1M has massive fenders front and back other than just tires.
I can understand the appeal of an air-cooled Porsche over say a 996. I just don't really see what enthusiast aspect the 1m has over an m2 other than limited production. At least the m2 competition has a real m motor

The 1M looks incredibly better IMO, but thats subjective of course. I believe its a couple hundred # lighter too.

15k + 5k of mods = 20k
60k - 20k isn't 45-60k in savings.
You are also still left with a car you can sell for probably less than 15k.

Yes, the 135i wont be a direct conversion short of some fender work and parts upgrade, it would still be a cheaper alternative if you want to copy the 1M/M3 suspension.
To make it easier, stickier tires and upgrading the current suspension will make it a better handler.

Don't knock the N55 Vs S55. Obviously the S55 has more power and cooling, but for city driving the N55 is an awesome mill....plus it sounds 100x better than a S55.

The 1M is an exciting and lively car to drive especially in Sport with TC off. It has hydraulic steering vs electric so the steering feel is much better according to every review I have read. 1M has E92 M3 brakes, suspension, rear subframe, M LSD, 19" m3 comp wheels, mirrors plus alcantara touches inside and 1M only bumpers and flares.
You can definitely build a fun 135i and enjoy. It just wont be a 1M.

second to this.
N55 sounds way better, hands down. base muffler, MPE, Akrapovic etc. usually sounds very very good, cept straight pipe.
S55 even with MPE and majority of the cases, it sounds like Ass. the F8x cars with the fake sound through speakers doesnt help the cause at all as well.

To me, the solid mounting of the rear subframe vs rubber mounting rear subframe and chassis stiffness made the biggest difference in feel between the 2. I do agree, steering is way more granular on the 1m

Why hasn't this sold yet? Has anyone seen it?
It even includes the bike rack/box which is worth something in itself
