Between an Alpha ZL1 and Zeta Z28, is there one that's preferred? |
|
Despite all the bling parts on the '15 Z/28, I think the Alpha platform in ZL1 1LE trim would be preferred over the Z/28 on the Zeta platform. The thing is, you can get a used Zeta platform Z/28 on Autotrader.com in the US for USD$32K-40K all day long (CAD$43K-$53K). There's not a lot of used ZL1 1LE package Camaros for sale right now and a new one will set you back CAD$80K. A Camaro Z/28 for CAD$45K would be a solid deal. As it turns out, the one posted in the thread is a fake ad, but these can be found on Autotrader in the US and would be an easy car to import. Quote:

Just doing my usual browsing on CL and came across this. Not sure if already posted 2006 Audi A4 Avant Wagon - $6500 Manual and looks properly taken care of? https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van...086247709.html |
Another possible collector plate car: 1987 Toyota Camry 167 kms $1990 https://www.usedvictoria.com/classif...35489464.lite? |

nostalgia factor. man the cloth interior in that camry is worlds better than the current one. fit and finish still superior in these 80s + 90s Japanese cars. |
That blue cloth looks really comfy. The ad is now trending (top 9 ads) probably due to this thread lol |
I find the velour seats in my 93 Accord to be vastly more comfortable than the leather seats in my 2013 Lexus. It’s like sitting on a burgundy couch, with twice the amount of foam and half the stiffness. |
To this day my dad's 94 Altima remains the car with the comfiest seats I've ever been in. |

the cloth from what i remember was super plush and wooly. was quite warm and nice to sit in . it looked velour like too. some of the nicest seat materials in a mainstream car. |
Not what I would call a smart buy, but so much vehicle for the money https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...069372933.html ‘06 cayenne turbo S. 520hp 4.5L turbo v8. Full dealer service history, two sets of wheels etc. Looks to be a pretty loving owner from the ad. Though same as any other expensive euro SUV it’s only one big malfunction away from the junkyard |
^thats a friggin steal. |
I love it. Wonder what it would cost you after 2-3 years of ownership. |

Cayenne turbos are actually the ones to get as they don't have the bore scoring issues of the na v8. |
LOL, I was going to post "230km Cayenne Turbo, what could possibly go wrong?" Then I read the ad and he's done the aluminum coolant pipes and the driveshaft center support mount. That's a couple of the big ones with that car. That is the kind of wallet torture the automotive masochist in me really likes. |
https://images.craigslist.org/00707_...U_1200x900.jpg https://abbotsford.craigslist.org/ct...087563915.html Needs a couple of things but it's damn cheap. IDGAF about its lack of anything remotely sexy. That exhaust sound is enough for me :drunk: |

^ Sounds even better straight piped but such a disgusting looking car lol |
2013 VW Golf R, 130K kms, $18,604. At an off brand dealer so depending on your negotiating skills, you might be able to knock another $1K or more off the asking price. https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...076092843.html https://images.craigslist.org/00o0o_...4Z_600x450.jpg |
