I love how every dealer car is described as "clean" like that fiesta has a hit on the right rear corner and the bumper is cracked and loose

Yah I noticed that too...... they kind of avoided it in the photos as well. Still, it's priced $3500 under other similar ones

And since it is at an off brand dealer (Pattison Toyota) you can probably easily negotiate another 10% (if not more) off the list price.

it was for sale last year - i wanted it.
PO was asking less as i recall. That's OK - lots of room for negotiation.

Is this a decent deal? Looks like low kms, relatively good maintenance, no accidents.

Uh, you know that's not a 4Runner right?

whitev70r 04-09-2020 08:44 PM

^ Right ... thanks. Not sure what I was thinking ... corrected.

hud 91gt 04-09-2020 08:47 PM

It’s actually not a bad deal. They aren’t ususally
Priced as high as the Rav4 V6, but not far behind.

Jmac 04-09-2020 08:53 PM

I can’t say I’m familiar with most modern vehicles or their head units but I highly doubt the head unit would have a separate fuse for the cassette/CD portion of it than the AM/FM tuner.

donjalapeno 04-09-2020 09:43 PM

I like the body style of those highlanders better than any generation Rav lol

whitev70r 04-09-2020 09:46 PM

Yah, 1st thing I'd do is spend some $$ and get an android and apple car play double din unit put in.

^^ I don't like the look of the Rusty heavy duty tow hook is. My dad's old RX was used to tow "small boats" before we bought it and I felt it weakened the transmission and you can feel it not shift right or clunk into gears sometimes. Also the back end suspension components were pretty rusty from being in water. Ended up having to replace whole calipers and bolts were pretty rusty, seized. So never again buying a car that has any sort of tow rack.

only go with shenzhen market android systems if you can't get pioneer/alpine/kenwood (when the hvac is tied with radio like these tesla-style knockoffs in landcruisers)

their boot-up times are terrible and apps scale like shit

What does that even mean?

I never knew you could get things like this. I’d love to replace the unit in my Rav.

The word you're looking for is "hitch". I'd check the underside of the rear vs the front for other rust but since that's an aftermarket hitch it's not going to have the same paint quality as an OEM part would. Lots of people tow lots of things that aren't ocean boats so I wouldn't write a vehicle off just because it has a hitch. Especially since larger SUVs typically have them as standard.

hud 91gt 04-10-2020 09:23 AM

^ take that back. The more people writing off hitched vehicles, the more choice for me!

A lot of people install hitches just for bike racks etc. Those are the worst things for car ever. Might as well have a salvage title.
