I wonder if the person who worked for Toyota and made the executive decision to have that colour exist ever stumbles upon internet threads like this. I feel it would be hard emotionally since whoever made that call clearly loved the colour but would have the harsh reality that most people discuss in depth about what kind of diarrhea it resembles.

I mean, at the time it was one of the most popular colours. It sold in droves.

I've ingested glitter that's that colour before.

Possible fake ad? 99 Clown shoe.

Priced high for a Non-M Clown shoe..

The Producer 04-28-2020 01:38 PM

12.8 USD (18K CAD!) is still in the ballpark. the average price for all listed M52 coupes in the USA is currently $15,140.27 (13 available) There are cheaper ones, and there are more expensive ones. This one is listed manual so it's not a JDM import car like mine. I'd rather have a 3.0 for that price for a significantly easier S54 swap if the motor ever popped.

Having said that this ad is garbage. No mileage given, shitty pics.

Spoiler!

You could compare the non-M clown shoe against a Z3m. $17k, 160km. A bit steep, but maybe you can get it down a bit.

Nice colour, sub-frame has been done (apparently)

Interior: Excellent (Other than a minor slash on the driver seat, probably a stiletto)
edit: just seems like a weird comment

The Producer 04-28-2020 07:26 PM

subframe has been done for sure ^^ that's Tyler's car. Nice guy. It's clean, well sorted - and I can give it at least a partial vouch (haven't seen it for a few years now)

Still, even w a hardtop (which I love) it's no coupe.

twitchyzero 04-28-2020 07:30 PM

do coupe owners call their vehicles clown shoes too?

westopher 04-28-2020 07:38 PM

Coupes are clown shoes, roadsters are just better miatas.

TjAlmeida 04-28-2020 09:34 PM

That blue one with the hardtop has been for sale for ever, it seems most Z3M roadsters are slow sellers.

FRS has been on and off for awhile, big price drop to 12k. Although 1 major red flag claiming it needs a retune.

C7 corvette-39000

C7 corvettes seem pretty affordable now. Personally I think it looks way better than the new c8.

Neutral safety switch I'm thinking.

It's worth mentioning HICAS parts are $$$$. I'm actually glad my 93 is a base model.

Car is sold though so someone got a good deal. I hope it wasn't harvested for drift parts :chop:

EDIT: I like the colour and it's hopefully clean but the price is a little high given the options (or lack thereof)
