16k doesn't sound too bad considering how expensive parts probably were for that thing, especially when it was still relatively new. $6400 was probably just a headlight or some shit.

I'd say that's a still great deal

Car has been parked for a while.
It has a slight leak from the rear diff as there is cardboard paper placed under it and I remember seeing fluid leaking from the car the last time the owner took it to the track.

How much does a B18c5 motor and tranny with 190K km's cost now a days?
Yeah, the car probably isn't worth much more than that.

Aren't these super expensive to repair? Few k for clutch, few k for brakes?

Yes, if the SMG pump/clutch? was replaced then it could be a great deal. Unsure of brake costs of the M5

SMG pump/clutch is about $1,500. Brake pad/rotors/sensors are about $1,000~$1500 depends on the shop. It's expensive but not that crazily expensive. pay to play a luxury performance sedan. been there done that.

Interesting, I thought the regular E60 5-series cost $1500 or so. A little searching online says a rebuild costs roughly $2k and a replacement is around the 3k and up range for the M5.

This is my buddy's car, I am the owner of the black NC Miata. My friend relocated to Asia for work and is storing the GTR with me. He tried to sell it before he left but the US buyer flaked after paying a deposit, my friend will be back in town next week for Xmas and is looking to sell the car again.

Also the car has never been tracked...

I actually have the keys, if anyone is interested in viewing they can hit me up haha.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what's up with this car?
2004 Porsche 911 GT3

I know the dealership doesn't have the best reputation but this car has been for sale for a while now.

Too many variables. In 2011 I paid $1500 for JDM B18cr engine and itr trans from legit shop. Eagle rods/wiseco pistons/act clutch/header. It's not 2002 anymore when b18c5 would command a premium before race wars.

I would not hesitate to buy anything from Rob. He is pretty particular about the cars he brings in. From a wholesale perspective, which is how I know him, anything he's selling usually has service history, 2 keys, all the books and no stories. As always though, do you research via CarProof and ask questions.

It's just that I this car has been there for at least 2 months if not more.
I thought all GT3's came with the yellow PCCB calipers but this car clearly has red calipers.

Guess the only way to tell is to go there in person and look at the car.

Thanks.

He's a very transparent guy from my experience. I'm sure he would answer all your questions truthfully and provide any documentation on the car.

My favourite is the driveway shot with the brick substituting as a parking brake... always a great sign on a 25+ year old car with a $20k ask

Was thinking about making the step to owning a luxury sedan for the first time. Expected a 3 year extended warranty to be around $10,000. The warranty company quotes only $2,600 for 3 years powertrain protection. BJ BMW referred me to a shop that could swap for the 6 speed manual but the mechanic who picked up the phone didn't want to get involved at all.

The car looks repaired well with the exception of condensation in one of the headlights and the rear bumper is half a centimeter off. Also looks like the driver's girlfriend or boyfriend may have had a hissy fit and damaged the front passenger panel.

E60 M5 is definitely more expensive for upkeep. Just gas alone will cost you double than most of the vehicle on street. I average around 18L/100km mixed, 22L/100km city stop and go traffic. oil change is $250~$350, everything else on maintenance is around $300-$500. repair will usually be around $1000 mark. I have comprehensive warranty $4,500 for 5 years, on my way to get the money back...

BUT, I forget all of above when I WOT the V10 on open traffic

2 months sitting on the lot in winter is not a long time considering it's a GT3. The way you said the car has been for sale "for a while", I thought it was for sale since Spring or something.
All 911s come with non ceramic brakes (red caliper) as standard option. The GT and Turbo series have 6 pot front brakes, regular 911s have 4 pot. (all red calipers)
PCCB (yellow calipers) is always an option on these cars (costs ~$8000? )
