I hate feeler posts. You either want to sell it for $xxx or you don't. It's your car, set the price. The demand will dictate if it sells or not. Simple.

If I said it was a steal - 10-12k
Good deal - 13-15k
Ok price - 15k-17k
A little over priced - 17-19k
Crackpipe - 20k+

To be far to ‘is350’ Chris has a very strong emotional bond with his e36 and wouldnt ever get the money he would want for it
Also wasn’t that is350 a troll? If I remember I’ve been failed by him dozens of times. |

My car isn't for sale, and is full of parts that most people in the e36 community want and can't find. If someone wanted to build my car, it would take them 20ish for the car and another 10k+ in rare OEM parts that would take them years to find.
is350 is just crying because I made fun of him for a half assed dox on some lady a long time ago, and fails me every single post he sees from me since then. Its totally unrelated to anything I write in the actual posts.

I believe that M3 was between $13-15K (mid teens basically). Just looking at the mileage, I wouldn't have posted it if it was over $15K.
EDIT: I could have sworn the last time it was posted, it was listed in Vancouver, not Richmond but I can't totally remember. It might have changed hands.
I don't know much about BMWs (only BBWs)

(also Pick a ride for BICBAWS thread incoming, just gotta separate it cause of word limit LOL) | For the most part. Coupe has more buyers looking for them, but sedans are rare in comparison. Sedans usually end up a touch less than coupes but not enough to be notable. People tend to put the most value in the e36 on rare colours and transmission.

I sold my E36 M3 sedan (not coupe!) 5 years ago for around $12K or so. It had a nice suspension setup and all the details taken care of. But keep in mind, 5 years ago, not many people were lusting after E36 M3s as it hadn't reached cult status, and E46 M3 was (and still is) the more desirable option. Sedan models are rare, but like westopher said, they don't have the same demand as couples due to the variety of options and availability. I liked the sedan for its practicality, but it also means someone looking for the same level of practicality has the same requirement. They aren't putting coupes at the top of their list for that reason. Coupes are often more of a "Shut up and take my money!" situation than compared to sedans.

I don't like feeler posts for common stuff like mostly stock modern cars you can find anywhere, but for older/rarer vehicles I can understand the thought behind it. They don't have to sell the car so it won't be a crazy deal, but if someone wants that particular car with that particular setup they'll mainly be saving the time to get a cheaper one to that state. If westopher had his car for $30k it would be a crackpipe price to someone that just wants an E36, but if someone wants one in the condition his is with the rare mods and the maintenance they're saving a ton of time and work.
Granted that shrinks the number of potential buyers immensely, but it at least ensures the car is more likely to go to someone that will actually care for it and not just run it into the ground.
