Those old Lexus boats are such a solid buy, especially at that price. Rarely an mechanical issue, great fit and finish, cushy ride, decent power and luxury. I kind of want it now. Lol!

If it's similar to the 1st gen I had, power steering lines are a leak source on these. Fortunately, they're 20 bucks on Rock Auto.

I owned 2 LS400's... they do have some issues... one of which is a faulty ECU problem where you drive on the highway for awhile and then get off the highway back into stop and go and the dash lights up like a Christmas tree... only solution is replacement ECU which is as expensive as you want it to be (new or used or junkyard)...

I wouldn't go into one blindly even though it's a pretty solid car. It can still cost you an arm and a leg if it hasn't been looked after.

I've found that Toyota isn't as rock solid reliable as everyone say they are. You still have to put in your work to make sure they work without flaws, you have to pay your dues.

As for GM and Ford, especially older ones... There's some truth in the saying that they will run longer broken than other cars will run. The tolerances built in are just so large.

I personally would not touch a car from someone who tells dealers to "FUCKKK OFF" and scammers to "get a life" so blatantly on a for sale post.

Yup, way overpriced plus that attitude can probably tell already what kind of person you'd be dealing with

When I had my '93 LS, I got a CEL while cruising at highway speeds. It cleared up whenever I did a WOT pull for a few seconds.

yeah this guy is a major dick, i tried talking to him about his car and by accident i used my dealership email, got a lot of fuck yous and a barrage of emails and insults and threats ( kept sending me google map screenshots of my work place saying he is going to come by). When i told him to stop by he just ended up leaving a 1 star review for my business saying that i tried to low ball him to buy his car. Only thing i asked for was if he had a picture of the engine compartment Another keyboard warrior i guess

sorry for that experience but what do you mean used your dealership e-mail 'by accident'

shouldn't you conduct work inquiries with your business email?
