Damn, that thing is still for sale? Saw that on Autotrader several months ago (Christmas time? Maybe January)

Fewer pictures on the CL ad, had some other sweet pics with the Ferrari and some with an old school Mini.

I’m assuming you mean headbolt issue. I’m unaware of a widespread rod bearing issue with the M156 engine.

68style 07-07-2020 02:25 PM

^ It looks like it paint missing in the same spot but for some reason they put Acura Vigor wheels on it??

!Aznboi128 07-07-2020 02:45 PM

maybe picked up a set of wheels and tires used as others were dry rotted?

Do we know how much it was before? I'm tempted to throw him an offer for the same price

What's a good price for an RHD Supra 6 speed Non-N/A nowadays? I feel like I'd pay $55-$60k for a well-sorted one and be happy.

westopher 07-07-2020 05:16 PM

I don't think thats unreasonable. Its not somewhere I'd spend 60k, but if thats your white whale, then its worth it. 7-8 years ago the threshold for a cool older fun car was around 10k, something pretty amazing for 20, and crazy stuff for 30. Now all those categories doubled for the 80s/90s cult cars.

twitchyzero 07-07-2020 05:33 PM

what's a LHD worth then? $100k?

Suprarz666 07-07-2020 06:01 PM

Somewhere around 45-80k usd for a turbo 6spd LHD.

JDMDreams 07-07-2020 06:05 PM

Why not just buy a new supra at that price :joy: I mean it does come with BMW reliability:troll:

Dbone 07-07-2020 06:29 PM

edit: I miss read.. sorry.

Yeah, that sounds right. I hope you'd get one with an LSD at that price. I once rode in one with an open dif, and it was rather disappointing.

Can you still find any LHD turbos as low as 45?! I remember the LHD cars still selling for that even when the clapped out RHD supras were barely above 10k

Suprarz666 07-07-2020 10:49 PM

45k USD, you can find them. they won't be the cleanest examples, but they are out there.

kjlks 07-08-2020 01:45 PM

Weren't R32 GTRs going for around 10k CAD way back then or am I mistaken?

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/nvn...155728372.html - (idk anything about m3 prices but this seems alright to me)
E36 M3 for 10k
