E36 M3 for 10k

About 10 years ago they were 10-20k, GTS-T's half that.

Prices are gonna go up even in near future for 80-90s cars. There's so much money being dumped into the markets.

Here's hoping so I can retire using CHIP reverse mortgages on my cars.

Back in the day you could find a rougher one for as little as $6k. I was half tempted to buy one as a winter beater. At one point 8 of my friends had them, they were everywhere.

As much as I want to try an sc I just can't justify paying more than $10k for one

E36 M3 for 10k

260,000 km

trollface 07-09-2020 06:23 AM

The 260k is the least of your problems when you got that kind of rust going on.

tofu1413 07-09-2020 08:13 AM

Great scott

never seen an e36 rust at those spots.

maybe car had some roll over damage at one point and bondo'ed

Dbone 07-09-2020 08:30 AM

My e36 was of similar age. The rubber around the windows was rockhard and in a few places pulled away from the car. I could imagine if you parked it outside on the NS for several years with it in that state it could happen. I'd be very worried about mold on the inside of the car too.

Shitty windshield install. Shop probably didn’t primer the bare metal around the urethane bead before installing the new windshield.

350z, twin turbo, 6spd for 8k... ok

JDMDreams 07-09-2020 12:14 PM

^^ not bad, I guess you can aways pull the motor and put it in a clean title shell

320icar 07-09-2020 12:15 PM

He says rebuilt, and the ad gives the impression it’s not in great condition. But that’s a shit load of car for the money

If this is the car I assume it is I think it has had a pretty good life. Hopefully it goes to someone that will enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed mine.
If anyone’s serious about it I’d be happy to go with you to look at it with you as well. I’m not an expert, but I have ideas about the problem areas of these cars and things to address, as I’ve already done it all.

I sold my 89 GTR in 2006 for $10k. It had 62kms and a blown motor. Shell was clean.

It's true a running one for high teens to 20k.

My experience is they are money pits but Americans are hyped up and buying all the R32 R33 R34. I have no interest in owning another one.

I'm sure someone will eventually buy it, it seems to be the only facelift example that isn't a US-import, and has seemingly been well taken care of. I actually have a huge soft spot for these late model SC430s, but would prefer a Soarer with much lower mileage, much cheaper, and arguably better taken care of than all the North American examples.

I'd say $17 to $14k is a steal for an Ap1 and $16 - 20k is a steal for an Ap2. Assuming it's well sorted out. But I haven't seen anyone sell an s2000 at a steal price in the last 2 years.
