I think it's hard to define what's a fair value for an S2000 though. The sellers are asking a high price because they see pristine condition examples being sold for $30 - 80k USD. So the average seller thinks they can get half of that for a non-pristine example.
I originally bought mine as a quick flip so I could get into an E92 M3 but then I realized that it's going to cost me a lot more in gas and maintenance and I'll likely run into a lot of speeding tickets. I can't think of another car I want in the $20k to 40k CAD range that can fulfil the criteria of fun, reliable and cheap. I can drive this car depreciation free and have a lot of fun doing so without breaking the bank to maintain it.
I kinda wanna test drive a E92 M3 but I don't wanna risk liking it so much that I gotta buy one lol.
Funny that’s how I feel about ITR. Low operating costs and still lots of fun. Holding value or appreciating.
E92 m3 manual is holding value but higher operating cost. The motor is addicting but I found it a little large for my liking. You can watch the gas gauge go down. It’s worth driving one.

Original owner selling original car. These haven't skyrocketed to dumbass prices yet so this could be a good time to grab one.

Would be a great buy at that price...... Buuuuut not a single comparable and anything manual from bimmer is going up. I’d say it’s not that far off as a starting price. I’d love if it was 8 grand for sure but those days are behind us unfortunately
Wasn't Mark's fully (and very nicely) prepped 128i asking for a similar price 2 years ago?
When you've seen a car that well prepped being available for sale at that price (~$13k?), there is no way in hell I'd be paying the same $13k for a bone stock version.

BMW E46 M3 2005 manual ZCP competition package and M-Cloth interior - $27000
VIN: WBSBL93425PN61472
I always get people asking me to sell them my car but the answer has always been "no, I love it too much and will never sell", now unfortunately I'm relocating and considering not taking my car.
I am the 3rd owner, this car was well kept by all three of us and it shows. It has the incredible combination of ZCP competition package and the M-texture alcantara seats, Silver Grey Metallic paint.
It does have 206,000kms, hence why it's less than $40k!
Proper manual gearbox.
Lots of service history.
Drives amazing with the CSL brakes and steering rack included in the competition package.
Has the Harman Kardon radio add on.
Some tasteful changes:
BMW Performance Carbon fibre strut brace
BC Racing Coilovers (lowered about 1inch)
Milltek Full exhaust system (sounds amazing and no rasp) https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-3...-back-exhaust/
AFE cold air intake system
Turner Motorsports lightweight pulleys
Eonon Android 9 Nav and radio, just brand new.
UUC short shift kit
Weighted M gear shifter OEM
I have all weather mats, tires are Michelin and will last a while IMO.
It's a great enthusiasts car.
Some negatives include:
Drivers auto up window doesn't "auto" 100% of the time, just have to hold it.
Small non-paint dent on driver's door. Small nick on wing mirror paint.
Small crack in lens of turn signal plastic.
Some paint flaking from rim, not curbed!
One wheel refinished.
Send me requests for info, no test drives without deposit. Check VIN for more info too. Price is fair, there is only two E46 M3 manual coupe cars on CL right now for $28k and $35k, both nice but not ZCP and not M-Cloth interior. Thanks
No information about the big three, subframe, vanos, and rod bearings. Rod bearings should have been recalled, but if not it should be preventative maintenance.

Unfortunately, with the E46s, a china spec headunit is actually pretty decent for features. Some of the best maintained cars I know have them. The alternative is Dynavin which looks like a china spec one, but is super expensive (in comparison) and I guess they actually have customer service.

The Bads
-Mechanically the car has zero problems and works fantastically
but it is a 15 year old car, it has some dings, and scratches.
-I'm the 2nd owner and the car previously had dents on the roof
which I assume is due to hail damage as I can't find any single scratch
on the roof but only dents.
-Interior leather and consoles are in great condition except the steering wheel.
-Steering wheel leather is a bit worn out (top area) but other areas are fine.
No cracks nothing, perhaps it will be restored if you use leather restore kit.
Other than the steering wheel, everything looks great and works great.
Audio works fantastically.(TL ELS system Head Unit is known for being one of the best in the world and wins competitions easily and TL owners with audio knowledge don't change the HU due to the quality of sound)
Absolutely no leaking, no noise, etc
A great car that will last for a long time without issues.
It's a HONDA/ACURA. Honda Reliability.
TL/Accords built in that era have automatic transmission issues.
Manual transmission is firm!
A real fun car to drive and perhaps a great car to learn manual shift.
Serious inquiries only.
The car is not insured, but if you really want a serious test drive,
you can buy the daily insurance and I will deduct that when you buy the car.
Or you can drive the car within my drive-way which will give you
a good idea of the brand-new clutch feeling, engine strength, audio, etc.
I also have a 2006 Audi S4 on sale for similar price.
