You just need basic to park on the street, collision and comp are not required.

Way back pre 2005 at one point I had 5 cars insured because I had to park them on the street. Now that I have parking as late as 2 years ago I had 5 vehicles insured. Here is the logic, I usually have a beater daily driver that will go to and from work for $60 gas per month. My street/strip suv on a bad month was $600/month on premium, my other full sized suvs also around $400/month. The money savings having a beater can cover insurance on a bunch of other cars, this works because I don't mind driving a beater.

I still buy full extended coverages but this year I only have my bike and one car on the road. I've been transferring insurance from car to car and paying the fees. One truck is parked outside under a tree and 9 more are uninsured in the garages. But Fliptuner has more cars than me, lol.

Wait, how do you even get insurnace down to 60/month??? I thought comp and collision was a very small part the fees.

Not really, I lived in the middle of fucking nowhere, and it was about 15-20% cheaper than Burnaby (iirc) and now I live somewhat in the middle of nowhere but in a small ish town and it's only about 10-15% cheaper than burnaby.

Seems like a lot of features for $13k. Are there any good independent shops for Lexus? Going back to the dealer for maintenance will be $$$

^^ manual wagon :fuckyea:

Mazda should have based the MS6 on a wagon. Hardly sold any anyways - may as well have gone all in.

I forgot how lexus completed covered that engine bay... it's like if it was a cheap model and they just use a single piece of plastic to form the entire bay.

01 s2k. 141k. Rebuilt. $15,500.

I think its a good price despite being a rebuilt for a legendary car.

Early LS460 have about ~6k of common failure points.
Pre 2011? control arms go bad.
The electronic brake actuator also goes bad - ~$4k part.

Certainly a much better deal than the rebuilt 2000 in Kelowna for $20k

If anyone checks it out, remember to ask when the car was rebuilt. If it happened in 2001, its gonna be a hell of a lot bigger deal then if it happened in 2019.

tofu1413 07-21-2020 02:02 PM

not a bad looking rebuild.
