Start here and keep reading, and you'll get it.

Historically, he often shares his misery with us on Revscene where women take command and control of his life. Examples include his mom, his sister, and now his wife. More often than not, they tell him what he can and cannot do, and any kind of pleasure or hobby is more or less immediately shut down.

I'd seriously lose my shit on both of them. Motherfucker's, I don't have time for this shit.

He bought it for $6,700 a month ago from Nanaimo. It was in rough shape with a cracked windshield and it needed some paint work. Calipers were also painted poorly at the time. Not sure what it’s like now.

No rust. Rust hole on LR 1/4. The VW overflow is a nice touch too lol.

Still. CRX's are crazy right now. Good project.

Heres 9 photos of the front of the car at 10 degree angle from 40 feet away.
No time wasters.

Seriously. Doesn't even look like they took the 2 seconds to go take ONE single proper photo. They're all just photos from the phone photo album, taken for another reason or other.

They're REALLY not in a rush to sell. Its almost like they don't even want to sell it.

GLOW 07-22-2020 07:23 PM

$44k, 44k kms...so they're charging $1k per 1,000 kms driven? better put a few more kms on it so price goes up Kappa

All service receipts from new up until now
Doesn't seem like a good deal if you can only drive another 16,000km before you need a new clutch and engine :troll:

The fees on BAT are actually really low. $99 to list, buyer pays 5% up to 5k.

The Producer 07-23-2020 12:28 PM

i did a quick calc on a random BAT sales day a few weeks ago.

56 cars sold july 13th for a total of $1,663,929 USD
BAT takes 5% of that - 83,196 USD

That is a SWEET racket for doing virtually nothing except having magically become the defacto place to sell collector cars.

(note cars sold over 100k were treated as 100k as that would be the max buyer fee of 5k)

trollface 07-23-2020 01:01 PM

BAT also has a side deal. They have first rights to buy the car at RESERVE price and flip it. Once you list, they pressure you to lower your reserve so they can snatch it.

They don't tell you this, but it's their real racket.

Further, if the final auction price falls just shy of the reserve price BaT reserves the right to make up the difference to complete the transaction so they can get their cut.

Full disclosure: I worked for BAT before they went auction heavy... it was a lot of fun when it was actually barn finds and project cars, but they’re nothing more than an online Scottsdale Auction house now. They lie a lot too, just ask the guy here who sold his E30 too low on there when they promised they’d not list any comparable cars concurrently with his...

Doug DeMuro has started his own online auction site now too, he saw the gravy train and wants on it.

SkunkWorks 07-23-2020 03:39 PM

... Sigh.

Maybe it's just me that thinks this is a decent deal because it's been on CL for a month and I don't think it's been posted in this thread? $9,750 for an NC2 that looks to be in reasonably good condition. Higher km but engine with lower km and I wouldn't worry too much about km on a Miata.
