Wow.... that car was built to do 1 of 2 things: commute or drive auto parts around.........

Somehow it has avoided doing either

It avoided option C too. End up in a junkyard 5 years into its life.

Damn I am super impressed at how clean that thing is. Deserves to be on BAT :smug:

6MT. V8.

find a set of Tan sport seats, bilstein struts + H&R and this will be tight driving balanced sled.

M60 motor as well, none of that Vanos crap you have to deal with !

TopsyCrett 08-24-2020 12:57 PM

Wow, my exact twin ^ Same exterior / interior color, engine, trans and wheels. Great price and low KM. I hope someone here gets it! It will be reliable drive-train wise. Be ready to replace anything that is rubber every few years :P

The e82 is probably last enjoyable to drive non-M car that BMW will ever produce.

+1 on this. Still love my E82, so many of the BMW features as well as the driving feel of it totally reminds me of my old E30 328is. Scratches the manual, fun-to-drive itch of the miata but much more comfortable and practical as a DD.

Would highly recommend this one above assuming all the common oil leak issues have been addressed.

Friend went to see the 128 and it's a turd. Needs a tranny and new front fenders at a minimum :lol

I want to love this, but I can't bring myself to even consider spending $30,000+ on a relatively new vehicle that's got that kind of mileage on it... red '09 (granted with 1 crap picture) with 60,000kms less is only $3k more ask on CL

Same era AMG Mercs are half the price and just as fun / maybe more fun and you get the excitement of never knowing if the price you paid is about to double or not hahaha

You're paying more up front with isf because it won't explode like a same year c63. At least with a toyota, you know its going to be good for a while. Meanwhile on a c63 of that era, head bolts, camshafts, intake manifold, ignition module/lock, 2 piece rotors, etc. Hit couple of those just right, easily eclipse the initial buy in price for an used higher k isf.

snowfarmer 08-24-2020 07:21 PM

I like 68style's style! Aging German car Russian roulette! Oh yes, your Toyota will start and run every time but where's the fun in that?

I'll take the batshit crazy European supermodel girlfriend every time, things might go spectacularly wrong but until they do.....hoo boy so much fun!

I can vouch for this one as knowing the owner and a fellow isf owner. Always takes care of his cars and mature owner that doesnt drive them hard. Higher mileage is due to lots of driving around lower mainland for work so plenty of hwy km's. Good price for the mileage/condition as far as what else has been on the market lately.

twitchyzero 08-24-2020 10:46 PM

condition over mileage on vehicles as well-built as the lexus F

i was considering a toyota with over 500k though so my bar isn't very high haha

If you're really feeling brave you might as well get the top dog mid 2000s AMG

JHatta 08-25-2020 07:34 AM

13 mpg....not bad if you're in the 12 cylinder sedan car world hahaha.

604 hp and 738 lb-ft, what a monster.

tofu1413 08-25-2020 07:51 AM

Dang. bi turbo V12..........

that will be BAT kind of stuff in 5-10 years. V12's are a dying breed.
