classic german design... :heckno:

westopher 09-04-2020 04:02 PM

This just in, cars break when they run into things.

Hondaracer 09-04-2020 04:15 PM

lol come on, that type of shit shouldn't be designed like that clearly..

quite a while ago my old company was demoing a house that some people had been squatting in, they had pushed some old 335 E36 into the back yard and stripped it. They left some great condition OEM red/white tail lights on it though. Right away i thought $$$ i can sell those easy

Took them out, sold them on CL and shortly after the buyer phones me bitching at me that they dont work, i ripped him off, etc. Said no problem, i can give you your money back, they came out of a shell and i didnt realize. I get them back and the guy explains to me how they work, fucking a million LED's in series like freakin' christmas tree bulbs powered within the housing itself?!?!?

meanwhile my car at the time was of the same generation and it's a plastic housing with a bulb and a connection.. lol.. that experience kinda gave me enough info on german engineering

westopher 09-04-2020 04:21 PM

There’s no correlation between stupid tail lights and damage from running into a fucking wall man lol.

SkunkWorks 09-04-2020 04:42 PM

I don't know of any manufacturer that designs a car specifically for it being easy to salvage after it's been crashed :lol

68style 09-04-2020 06:56 PM

TSX is a fake post, some poor guy's phone is getting spammed to shit he asked me to flag it for him

77civic1200 09-04-2020 06:57 PM

That TSX might be fake, the plate frame is from ontario, the houses look like ontario, the snow shovel in the garage... could be here but probably ontario

^ I hope they never sell it now... lol

too bad it's total grandpa Flroida spec, doesn't get any more boring that white and biege

Does anyone know why the used car market is so crazy these days? You literally have to have cash on hand now, the competition is insane... in the past you could just casually trade emails back and forth even on a half decent deal without much fear... but since virus times it's just been insane. USA too.

Depends on the $$$. Cars under 10k are flying from what i've seen. I guess a lot of people are more well off with the stimulus payments + investments. High school kids now can have a new car essentially paid for by the govt as well.

So thats why there are so many more bad drivers now

JDMDreams 09-05-2020 05:52 AM

It's because no one wants to transit due to the corona so everyone is buying cheap cars. Or anything utilitarian so they can take their family camping/ road trips.

$39,900 2006 BMW M3 Competition package, MT, 55700 KMs

This thing is mint but things to note - vanos and subframe not done. Although it seems to be well taken care of. Not sure if this his worth $40k considering e9x can be had for the same price.

Post deleted now. I wonder how much it sold for

TouringTeg 09-05-2020 10:29 AM

People are bored and buying cars. A coworker is looking at Boxsters just because.

And Lol at the Ls430 jumping up in price $5000.

Jmac 09-05-2020 11:25 AM

Are the 1ZZ powered Elises pretty reasonable in terms of cost of ownership or are you still looking at high-end sportscar money for maintenance and/or repairs?

dorian 09-05-2020 02:24 PM

The volume of new cars coming is very low so dealers have no trade-ins. I see more and more new car dealers keeping their old stock on the lot. The price of used cars has gone up as the demand for cars is greater. Cars under $5000 are the best sellers currently. As the other person on here said, people are staying away from transit. Dealers are paying top dollar on eblock and traderev especially since adesa is not doing much.

2zz is fine, just make sure you warm it up before you rag it.

If you're gonna track it though, you should replace the toe links, and get a baffled oil pan.

Most important thing is to check the clam for cracks and underbody for wrinkles.

(edit, 2zz not 1zz)

Pretty clean example for the DA pervs still around.
My experience with Fraser valley sellers is that they will typically go down on their price since they don't usually see as many offers.
