106.7FM isn't a radio station in Vancouver... that's what the display is set on.

It is one in Calgary though... where they have no front plates. Also in Quebec, Ontario and tonnes of USA states.

Speedo looks to be in MPH too.

Probably a fake ad.

No front plate though, no close up shots of dash, no rear photos, just a few things that jumped at me.

Anyone recognize that building in the photo?lol

Calling all resident RS E36 experts: What do y'all think of this? Doesn't look like a steal for an E36 with that mileage, but I do like the BBS wheels. Not sure if an "IS" model means anything compared to a regular 328i. How are these in terms of reliability?

All the bells and whistles. A nice looking car with a bright future. A new cooling system just last week.
The mechanic will be available to talk about the car if you like. My son has moved to Toronto and wants me, his dad to sell his car. All serious offers will be considered. Beautiful rims and nice new tires, 1 year old.
Also comes with a set of snowies.

Wheels are like 3k new.
Make sure the cooling system wasn't because it overheated, but preventative.
Look for a stack of maintenance records.
IS comes with sport seats, probably spec'd with an LSD, and a couple other things. All the coupes were IS models in NA.

It's relatively cheap if its relatively nice.

Yes :alone: That and I started getting a little curious about the E36's since LZ drove the M3 LTW.

Pretty sure only 92 had lsd, they stopped offering it after they got electronic traction control.

Those are most likely replica wheels worth much less than 3k

JDMDreams 09-22-2020 11:00 PM

Why not buy an e90 for 6k? Or e46

68style 09-22-2020 11:59 PM

Everytime I see an E36 dumped like this in the rear with such terrible offset it screams Surrey teenager with bubbling purple tinted windows circa 2010

Because an e36 you can work on with a Fischer price tool kit and $30 worth of parts.

Turns out that up to 96 LSD was an option, and you got it if you didn’t choose traction control as an option. 97 up as you said ASC was standard and they no longer got LSD. So this car definitely doesn’t have it. As for the wheels, I’ve never seen RG-R reps, but they could be, or they might not be. People are definitely known to spend as much as the car is worth on a set of wheels lol. Worth a look anyways. Like I said, if the condition is good, it’s not a bad price. If you buy a 3k e36 you will probably have spent up to this to bring it up to decent shape anyways.

vitaminG 09-23-2020 09:27 AM

^ must be pretty rare cause I've never heard of a 93+ car with lsd

I had a set of those exact wheels in replica form. Asa ar1.

westopher 09-23-2020 09:58 AM

AR1 aren’t exactly like those though. They are fake 2pc with bolts around the lip.
Also the photos in the ad show stamping near the lip between the spokes like the real wheels.

Roof was chopped!

but why?:heckno:

bcrdukes 09-23-2020 01:01 PM

Neat build, low mileage (for a 10 year old car!) but man, that thing would attract a life time supply of VIs with the VPD. :lol

To be fair, I recall Open Road used this to promote the Scion brand, and it's target market. Sadly, Scion/Toyota missed the mark well over 10 years ago when car meets and stuff like this was cool.

Will admit - I do miss this sort of nonsense.
