I was a bit sceptical about this. His mechanic checked the injectors but couldn't diagnose a bad fuel pump? Didn't make sense. I mean great deal if that was the case but who knows?

underscore 10-16-2020 11:43 AM

My assumption was either the owner didn't repeat what the mechanic told them correctly, or the mechanic is just useless at troubleshooting. I've seen both more times than I can count.

This isn’t a good buy, this isn’t a fail. This is just absurd.

1990 Nissan 300zx - $72,000

bcrdukes 10-16-2020 01:32 PM

As absurd as it may be, and if Bring-A-Trailer has taught us anything, I am pretty sure someone is willing to pay that amount of money for it.

it's clean - and looks great.

however...so did the car I went to look at, until I looked a little closer :rukidding:

not going to shit on this rare wagon, I did little more than glance at it at the time. I've also seen it around town over the past year. I would simply suggest that a prospective buyer inspect it thoroughly.

That's a cheap price for a Miata with relatively low KMs - granted it's fall/winter, but still cheap.

Only one photo doesn't bode well though.

Jmac 10-16-2020 03:48 PM

The seller drove a Miata in the winter ... :fulloffuck:

Nothing wrong with that, is there? I mean, I drove my Boxster last winter in the snow, rain, and sleet. #zerofucksgiven

(I'm storing it in a heated garage this season though.) :lol

The digits on odometer don't line up well. If that was a Honda I would say it was tampered with. Maybe Nissan is like that, who knows.

CAn you elaborate? What was hidden on the one you saw? He gives the impression of someone who does money no object maintenance

There's actually a pretty sizeable dent where the front passenger door closes and a scrape over the back wheel well if you look on a larger screen instead of a phone
