For example; sdubfid posts sidekicks, kunoman posts muscle cars/trucks, CCA-Dave posts beetles, and GS8 posts mid-nineties GM cars... :suspicious:

It works because there's even coverage. I know nothing of Volvos, BMWs et al so it's nice to see others who do know and post good deals.

Regardless of what a car is, a good deal is a good deal.

At least no one is posting Fords :troll:

0-60kph that is.

This is clearly written by a salesman!

I am 100% this is a private sale. the owners are actually friends of mine. I vouch for them as they baby their cars and are enthusiast for many years. I actually find their ad funny because I can imagine them talking on the ad haha

240SX CLEAN (UPDATED)

I think they found another 240 or another car that is why they are selling this.

westopher 12-15-2014 01:44 PM

You should tell your friend his car doesn't go 0-60 in under 5 seconds. Also I think you are missing the point of the comment about the ad being written by a salesman.

2009 Lexus IS F ISF PREMIUM PKG 2 for $37,000 in BURNABY | autoTRADER.ca

He used to have an add on craigslist, but he pulled it.

Guy says he has a clean car, no accidents. When I went to test drive, he stated that "the wheels had been stolen". I was expecting a comprehensive claim in the $5K-$10K max. I ran ICBC report and the car has a $33K vandalism claim on it. $33K! Anyways, he said that when the wheels were stolen, they had to replace all the brakes, calipers and a whole bunch of interior trim.

Lesson of the day, always run carproof or ICBC report.
I just don't understand why people can't be more upfront.

Why would that be a dealbreaker? The claim was for a large amount but if it wasn't in an accident that shouldn't matter.

heleu 12-15-2014 08:22 PM

Because I'm not going to keep the car forever.

If I sell the car to a dealer or private, it's going to be worth $5K-$10K less because of the claim. I agree the car is safe to drive. But the claim totally wasn't factored into the cost of the car.

Looks to be in pretty good condition, no rust or anything on the rockers, although a small bubble near the rear driver side fender? "Drives like a dream"? No pictures of the engine or interior

Hnnnnnnng would love to sell my DD and scoop that up, especially with all that work thats gone into it :/

Unfortunately have to downgrade this winter break so I can pay to fly over to Europe this Summer. Looking at cheap 4Runners, Sidekicks, Toyota LiteAces etc.. anything that's reliable, easy to work on and not generic ie 90's corolla/civic/ (no offense folks)

MindBomber 12-15-2014 10:09 PM

I was waiting for that.

The '60-'64 Galaxie is one of the few Fords I can confess to appreciating as they are decent cars, though they don't hold a candle to the '61-'64 Impala.

Let's not get into the long list of reasons why the Camaro is superior to the Mustang, dared3vil0. ;)

dared3vil0 12-15-2014 10:14 PM

Buddyguy, I have all night! :)

And makes similar power. Really, the 2011 is pretty much an updated 4th gen Camaro (what GM should have built, not the 3800 pound parade float with zero visibility and IRS!).

ISF deals are out there... coworker just picked one up recently for just under 40k after tax. Private deal. Fully loaded w/ balance of extended warranty and super low clicks, something ridiculous like 30 something K. Pretty much like the white one listed on here for sale but with lower clicks and cheaper.

Odd. Messaged him twice now on FB and still no reply. Left him my number too but nothing. :suspicious:

Close! It's gotta be a one-year-only 1973. Curved front window, no bumper shocks, the list goes on. That bubble in the rear quarter on the '71 above, though, is a definite rust problem. I'll put $50 down that says the quarter is rotton to 6" above the running board, and the driver's side heater channel needs to be replaced.

...sometimes knowing a car so well takes the fun out of CL :P
