Spoiler!

Sold yesterday. Nice car for the money for sure. Lots of hate for the boxer 4 in these but really can't argue with the performance.

"I am willing to sell the SL65 wheels and Pilot Sport A/S 3/3+ tires separately, contact if interested

Just replaced both Lower Control Arms. 469 horsepower over 500 torque, a true AMG.

Open to reasonable offers. 2003 Mercedes Benz E55 AMG black. Has near $15000 in extras/fixes including SL65 wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3/3+ tires ordered from Canadian Tire, Fixed Radiator/Transmission, new panoramic roof motor/railings, Garmin GPS System, FenSens Rear view backup sensors etc.

Reason for selling is I have purchased another vehicle

Babied the vehicle with on-time maintenance like oil changes. Recent Oil change/filter change.

Carfax and Carproof was received when I purchased vehicle: minor touch-up a few years ago is the only thing that shows in regards to repair work.

Bought many accessories for vehicle (AMG Carbon Fibre licence plate holder, AMG keychain, Mercedes Benz interior cleaning solutions/ice scraper, mercedez benz graphite color wheel caps to match the SL65 amg wheels)

Has only around 85,000 KM (see pic)

Contact me with any comments/questions

Thanks"

My 2005 G55 AMG (same M113K engine as the 03 E55) has been really reliable and only needed routine oil changes.

Only thing i'd be looking out for is maybe the air suspension, but most people would swap out to coils if it does fail!

This thread is fine the way it is...

The only reason people end up posting garbage cars is that the whole vancouver market is garbage, and there are 29384729384 people refreshing craigslist every second. so the stuff posted here, sadly, is actually the most interesting/good deals that are out there.

Here's a 4K, high mileage Type S with rust. Debatable if good deal, it's defs not as clean as what RS expects, but it would be a good winter beater to just beat on

Akinari 11-29-2020 12:17 AM

These days I associate low to stupidly low mileage with 100% guaranteed all-gasket replacement upon purchase. I would assume it means that the car hasn't really been driven at all, or has been driven a fuckton to run neighbourhood errands without the oil even having a chance to warm up.

The only car I've owned where I've never had to replace a single gasket was my '04 Element which had around 350,xxx kms prior to being written off. 90% highway mileage. Meanwhile I'm replacing gaskets left and right for everything else I've owned several thousand less kms than that.

Not a bmw. If I had a co-pilot today I'd be bringing this home today.

4l80 swap + 6.0 + turbo this would make a nice spacious sleeper.

If the KMs are not a worry for the M113k engine this seems like a deal.

W211 E55 for $7500.

New clutch, I'd pick that up for like $3,500!

the one AWD Astro on Craigs for $4700 sold, the other 2 are $6985 and $9400. But ya, used to be really crappy cars. I think as they have produced so many shittier cars since people realize these aren't horrible anymore.

or it could just be the whole #vanlife craze right now

bcrdukes 11-30-2020 05:25 AM

I don't know if they are still around, but for those of you who remember SNK's "Race It" in Richmond who specialized in RX-7s, they built this crazy fast GMC Safari, which really looked like a pedophile / hobo vehicle, but was in fact, hitting some wild 1/4 mile times. I believe it was used as their track day hauler/support vehicle primarily, and the occasional "haha" shocker at Mission Raceway. Total sleeper.

Rofl. That was my best friend's uncle's shop. When I was like 13, I used to watch them put a brick on the accelerator and take bets on how long it takes a Honda to make a window in the block.

Applewood and Velocity, two terrible places to buy an import.
