Seeing all the beater IS250s coming up in this thread makes me SMH. There is no such thing as a good buy beater IS250, even for under $4000 or $3000 or whatever. Engine is 100% guaranteed to be gunked to shit with carbon. Why have we not learned yet?
Service program was given for customers in the US with IS250s, but not in Canada. "Needs tune up" leads me to believe it's idling like shit and misfiring, therefore probably carbon'd beyond belief.
I mean I guess you could try seafoaming the shit out of your motor LOL
This one's been for sale for several months now. Front right bumper is scraped, both front wheels are curbed to shit and looks like the owner never properly bothered cleaning the front wheels of brake dust so now it's caked on.

Can anyone who has been following S2k prices in North America (or around the world in general) comment on whether or not, for someone who's interested in actually buying one, if it's more feasible or cheaper to buy one from the US i.e. Cali? I can't imagine the supply being as limited as it is here, so theoretically the prices wouldn't be as high as they are here, simple supply and demand thing no?
I've always dreamed of owning one when I was in school (dad said he'd buy me one if I got into UBC as a joke and I actually believed him ) but just watched as the prices creeped up to what they are now over the last 10 years. Now at these prices, the car is not quite worth it to me anymore. For the price of a well-sorted S2k, I could either already, or almost, buy an equally well-sorted E92 M3. As much as I love the S2k, I know which one I'd get LOL.

Low dollar and made in Japan = 18.1% taxes including duty...
Honda is a fucking pain in the ass to get recall letters from too.
Have you tried driving one though? Personally for me it was definitely a case of “never meet your heroes” as I did not enjoy the experience anywhere near as much as I thought I would.

S2k aren't going to get any cheaper. There is no close enough substitute for it if you are looking for that particular experience. ND2 has potential. The formula is similar. Knowing what we know about current consumer trends, automotive emissions rules, fuel economy regulations, safety requirements, the push for electric, profitability on such a niche vehicle, it would be unlikely for Honda to build something like this again. There might be another vehicle in the distant future wearing the s2000 badge, but I would wager it will be built to service a completely different demographic of consumers.
Coupe, cheapest with decent mileage Z4M i could find was in Ontario. $40K. Black. 160K km LOL. Typically goes for around high 40s to low 50s, kinda crazy

they've really crept up.
I drove a really clean z4m coupe w only oem+ ish mods and 100k kms for 31k about 3 years ago. I ended up buying my zed instead.
My buddy ended up buying the z4m and as usual, he picked the one that appreciated just at the right time.
Wow, a few years ago (maybe 2 or 3?) the Z4M was asking low to mid $30s. Wish I picked one up back then, but instead, bought Corolla. #GiveUpOnLife #TOS'd

Second owner, with 164,000 km's on it.
Lot's of life left.
Car runs good, and is very reliable.
I don't use it enough to keep now, since I can walk to work, and keep running the battery down.
Will need some tires eventually, but they are good for now.
Sunroof does not open all the way, and was custom installed by Burrard Acura as it was a showroom model when it was new.
Has a decent USB stereo.
Lot's of tiny dings from typical Vancouver drives opening doors into it in parking lots. Couple of minor accidents but not a write off.
Great car for the money, and looks nice too, see pictures.
The car has been everywhere from Whistler to Seattle and taken me snowboarding as well.
Serious buyers only, must sell before the end of Dec. since my parking is ending.
Just wanted to thank this thread again -- ended up purchasing this one for the GF as her first car. Second owner for over a decade took good care of it, couldn't say no !
No rust, everything works including A/C! Installed some fresh Winter tires, detailed it and caught up on maintenance. Took it up to Squamish and it did really well on the highway. Love the DC chassis, feels lighter than my EM1 even in stock form.
