damn, didnt see it on my phone.

I havent heard of oil consumption but im sure it would be if oil wasnt changed regularly.

SkunkWorks 02-11-2021 08:15 AM

Surprised that E91 hasn't sold yet. There was a really clean silver automatic LCI up in Kelowna for $14.5 few weeks back that's since sold though rattier auto wagons are usually round $7-10 locally.

Seems most folk would prefer a stock example?

Here's an Xi 6MT with N52

Could use some electric front sport seats, but other wise a fairly nice color combo.

i hate these posts - they make me so mad that I got talked into an E83 (X3) instead of an E91

E91 are STILL basically the same price as the ones I looked at 6 years ago.

I'd be lucky to get 4 grand for my E83 (and I paid a lot more for it than the wagons I wanted at the time)

Always a fan fave, 02 Audi TT Quattro, manual, only 133K kms, 225 hp, $7800. Price could be better but ... maybe the 6 speed manual and low kms work in seller's favor. Got OZ wheels.

would love to get a BMW wagon but i don't know jack about bimmers

which year(s) 3-series wagon would be the most reliable?

whitev70r 02-11-2021 09:45 PM

Usually you don't use the words 'reliable' and 'BMW' in the same sentence.

E46 wagon. Model doesn't really matter. Obvs if you're paying 91 gas, get the 330. Can't speak on auto trans, so only manual. Realistically these are things you have to do/check on:

- DISA valve (ez job)
- VANOS rebuild (ez job just gotta do valve cover too)
- full cooling system overhaul (ez job, just a lot of stuff - check if expansion tank has been done)

Most of the stuff listed above you don't HAVE to do. Just do it when it breaks. I just happened to do everything preventative, only to get smoked by a Jeep. Lol.

was wondering why bother importing is350 that are so common (there's a few of them on sale right now originally from america)

2008 was cad usd parity :ahwow:

speedo dial probably easy to swap out but the hvac in F instead of C would be bothersome haha

Maybe on newer than 09, but my e46 wagon has been roughed up plenty by me with nothing more than a coil pack and transmission solenoid in 4 years. E36 hits 7k multiple times a week and hasn’t had any real work in a year, at nearly 25 years old.
