Interesting and rare, I dunno about 'good' buy ... for those who like RHD:

2004 Honda Accord wagon diesel, import from UK. 170K miles, manual, $9K, def not a 'good' buy.

I checked it out a few months ago, listed for ~$1k. I almost bought it but went with something else. Looks like it was sold and being flipped, seller wasn't in N. Van when I looked at it.

Hondaracer 03-04-2021 08:49 AM

Surprised that thing would ever pass any safety tests lol, the piller would crumple like your spine in a roll over lol

underscore 03-04-2021 09:24 AM

How's it different from any other convertible? Aside from a slightly higher COG.

fliptuner 03-04-2021 09:32 AM

Proof that rare /= good

tofu1413 03-04-2021 09:36 AM

That thing will be collectible only if Nissan goes underwater...... and disappears as a brand.

Qmx323 03-04-2021 09:40 AM

Yeah but thats objective, some soccer mom who schleps her kids to do snow sports would kill for this because of all the fun she could have when the kids are occupied. She can let her hair down and cruise in her momvertible.

Spectre_Cdn 03-04-2021 10:03 AM

The answer to a question nobody asked. Maybe it has some pop-up rollover hoops behind the driver.

Does anyone know what the old Dodge Dakota convertible pick ups are worth? No, because no one cares and the Murano will be the same. A 'hey look at that' moment once every few years and that's all.

They suck, amps will blow, speakers blow. You have to rewire the whole car to bypass the amp to change the unit cuz it runs like 8 ohms:accepted:

Yup it does right behind the passenger headrest.

Also that car's been on sale for a while now, no one wants it for that price. I wouldn't mind it if it was 10k.

Looking at NA/NB vs NC prices is pretty interesting - the earlier two gens have way more fans than the NC version, and tend to be asking higher even for more used examples than the one above.

twitchyzero 03-05-2021 09:38 AM

many knock on them for being a shared platform with the RX and with ford elements

maybe not enough time has passed but they're actually aging surprisingly better than i expected, i really want to try the later NCs

320icar 03-05-2021 09:44 AM

The only bad thing about the rx8 was the motor, which the NV obviously doesn’t share. Everything else handling wise was always praised about the rx8 so I don’t see how that’s a downside. Also ford isn’t that bad, I’m sure they didn’t share interior :p

I had a 2008 NC and a 2003 NB and liked/loved the NC way more than the NB. The NB is really for the purists who want the most barebones car while the NC has enough livability that driving one for a few hours isn't a pain while still being a total blast to drive (I enjoyed driving it more than the NB as well - basics like proper pedal placement were better on the NC).

I last drove a NC a couple years ago and it was still magic to me and didn't feel like an old car. I regret not buying the one I drove a couple years ago and regret even more selling my 2008 back in 2015.
