I miss my '73 Superbug. :okay:

As for that '84, it kinda bugs me when a car is highly modified and then they don't show any photos of the engine bay. I believe I know the owner and if it's who I think it is, it will be a quality build. However, without knowing for certain, it kinda makes it hard to armchair judge it. Oddly I haven't seen anything on Dubberz about this thing...

E39 M5s are great cars. Used to own one and still miss that car sometimes.

From what I recall--and from what it looks like--prices have pretty much stabilized around 20k in the last while.

Good time to pick up an absolute icon and drive it for a couple years for nothing more than the cost of gas and maintenance...... Or just keep it forever.

sauceking88 12-28-2014 02:26 AM

Damnit would've loved to pick up that miata

Ad's been deleted already. Must have been a nice ranger..

fliptuner 12-28-2014 12:54 PM

Nah, looked like a half decent, running beater that needed brakes. However, it was $100.

One could drive it right to the scrappers and make a few bucks or use it for parts.

GS8 12-28-2014 04:53 PM

Not surprised that Ranger flew out the door

Here's a couple of more cheapies

Would love to buy a frame off rotisserie restored classic some day, the idea of driving a "new" old car is just so damn cool...

My concern with the first ad is that it says collector plates but how the heck can you even say that on a 50's pickup with 4 wheel disc brakes and air bags. :suspicious:
Yes 4 wheel power disc brakes and air bags are so period correct.

SpartanAir 12-28-2014 11:39 PM

^ Good point. The second one looks stock and looks way better IMO.

hud 91gt 12-29-2014 04:06 AM

There is two classifications with icbc. I forget the actual names. Starting around the 50's your allowed to have a modified classic.
