But there are a ton of easy to install lift kits, pair that with some decent tires and aside from some serious rock crawling you could probably take that thing almost anywhere you wanted. I've thought about it many times, this looks like a good candidate. 2" Lift
I’ll never forget being talked out of buying an RX7 from the seller.. after listening for 4 minutes or so about all the issues he’s had I was like ok, these aren’t for me

Great options and low kms. seems well looked after. Can't say I love ivory interior but at least it's real dakota leather. Just needs some 100 spoke daytons
There's been a fair bit of interest and so far all but one of the responses have been from CL, the only response from the FB Marketplace ad was everybody's favorite "Is this still available?", my immediate response "yes, it's still available", total silence from the person after that.

Beautiful car. I’d buy it from you. But I’m on the island and there’s a travel restriction now, not sure when I’d be able to come over

How is it? It's a us car, with possible odometer roll back, plus he said he replaced a few cells on the battery pack cuz they failed.
Yea, looked a little too good on paper. Long story short I’ll pass on it.
Longer story:
- paint/clear coat isn’t in the best condition. Could use a good detail and paint correction
- he did mention that he got a couple of the cells replaced, per the dealership recommendation. The individual cells in the Toyota hybrid system are like $30 each and fairly easy to replace, so I wasn’t too concerned with that
- tires and brakes are new. Tires were dated 2020. Brakes look to be aftermarket (Raybestos, non-coated so they’re showing corrosion already)
- he did recently have the Lexus dealer do an inspection and a bunch of maintenance ~$900. They recommended to replace the dying battery cells and one of the rear struts
- it’s a Florida car, then it was registered once in Quebec for about a year, then went back down to the US and finally back to Canada (BC) in 2013
- I’m unsure about the odometer rollback, even though the carfax mentioned that. I think it could be a miscommunication when the different owners report the mileage (miles vs kms). I don’t know what goes into the carfax database to be honest. If I was a serious buyer I’d be looking at the odometer for signs of removal (should be easy to tell)
- one of the exterior trim on the door is coming off
- cars steering is a little off while driving straight
The current owner seems like a great guy and genuine, I don’t think he’s hiding anything. He may just not have ALL the info.
I think if the mileage is true, it would be a great car. I just don’t have the time and space to clean it up and get it back to where it needs to be for my liking.
