Cool story behind that original owner Porsche, it's possible his kids were conceived on that car. Too bad it can't stay in the family.

Looked at it when it was a previous members car. It's definitely super beat up now. IIRC it was only ~$4K last year

How it was like before..

If you desperately want to drive an old Porsche I suppose you could go for it, but I'd sooner spend more money on a newer 911. 20k for a rustbucket quasi-Porsche is not worth it.

That said, the appeal of bringing that green one back to life that's been sitting since 1976 is strong.

If you didn't want to you wouldn't even need to spend more for a nice newer 911. You can get pretty damn nice 996s for 20k all day every day on rennlist.

Are you sure that's the same teg? the 1st pic is 5 bolt while the rest are 4... who would want to go back to 4bolt hubs?

I thought that too but in both pics, you can see the colour of the fenders don't match the rest of the car.
And both cars have the blue anodized roll cage.

Jgresch 12-30-2014 09:49 AM

I'll have to dig a bit but I feel like those are two different cars, I swear fishtaco and red_kryponite were selling around the same time. Plus that second car was in coquitlam for a while still with diffuser on.

edit: nvm same car: http://www.revscene.net/forums/65149...a-integra.html

bomiheko 12-30-2014 10:09 AM

Too bad, that green porsche is gone now. Oh wells, wallet safe. haha

!Aznboi128 12-30-2014 10:14 AM

I still think they're two different cars, the valve cover is the same colour but its different cover all together.

SpartanAir 12-30-2014 10:18 AM

Sooo many classics listed...The first page is loaded with them.

1961 IMPALA 2 Door BUBBLETOP
http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/4816499613.html
1956 Pontiac 2 Door Hardtop
1954 Ford Crestline Glass Top

And this kinda seems like a good buy:
1987 Corolla GTS

Same car :p , it had a boosted b series before and some other owner swapped it to a H series lol. It was saito's before and I pmed fishtaco regarding it. I remember driving that thing, interior had no shift boot and the ugly steering wheel. It vibrated like crazy

CCA-Dave 12-30-2014 02:17 PM

1968 Ford Pickup - $4900
Interior truck, could be relatively rust free then. Sweet style, IMO, and pretty classy in black.
http://images.craigslist.org/00d0d_8...aj_600x450.jpg
1968 Ford 1/2 ton

1965 Dodge Polara - $3500
You might think it's a bit grampa-styled, but if the interior is good thats a fair price on a car with lots of potential.
As it sits, I'm guessing the car will float down the road like a parade float...but some tasteful mods will make
it a nice B-Road cruiser. Automatic, and no photos of the interior make it only a "potential" good deal.
1965 Dodge Polara

1972 MGB GT - $7500
Apparently a California car, and looks like it still needs out-of-province inspection. Check to confirm that the
duties have been paid and they have the CDN Customs paperwork with stamps, as well as all the USA export
papers...otherwise this one is a pain in the neck to register. Colour isn't my first choice, but I'll take a cali car
in a colour I don't like over a northern car in one I do.

1972 MGB GT

1968 Triumph GT6 Race Car - $8800
Probably needs a lot of updating if you were to take it back to a track for historic racing, but the potential for
building a GT6 racing tribute is there. The lines on these cars are awesome, and there's a tonne of potential.
The '68's were known for terrible handling in the USA, resulting in the GT6+ for 1969. So definitely ask about
rear suspension changes, and take it for a test drive.

Very nice Gun grey Pearl IS300 in stick!

Holy shit that deal on the 20b fd is unreal if you got deep pockets. Ive seen it in person its immaculate shape , only downside is 20b motors are unbelievably expensive to rebuild depending on what breaks since mazda no longer produces any parts for them. Would buy if i didnt already own a fd, transmission 3rd gear syncro prob blew they cant handle high tourque. R154 swap it and flip for 30g lol

You guys clearly have no idea what 912 prices have been doing. They're definitely sought after now.

you have to wonder why someone would have bothered to import their mondeo wagon here. how were they able to import a 2000 MY 5 years ago? so weird.

The why is confusing as they spent a bunch of money to bring it here, then they just spent $2100 on work to it, and now they're selling it for $1500. The how is easy, you're allowed to import vehicles around the regular 15 year rule when you immigrate if your previous citizenship and ownership of the vehicle meet certain requirements.
