KMs are high on his, but it looks like it has been well kept
Most CRXs have been driven to the ground

Not run of the mill POS crx found on craigslist, so all I gotta say is good luck finding the same car in this shape and doing all the same things to it for under 4k.
You get what you pay.

350k km original cluster.
Lots of cluster swapped EF's out there, so the mileage is average for a 24 year old car.

After seeing tofus last e36, I'd pay a 10-15% premium for a car he has owned and tinkered with.

No offense to those that say Tofu's car is over priced, but the car is 24 years old. 345K kms = 14,300 km per year which is considered low since the average is between 20-24K per year.
If the rust problem is minor, and bushings are in good condition, then this car should last a pretty long time.
In the pics I have seen, the interior looks really good. It is quite common to see the seats ripped and the thigh bolsters worn out if the driver has a larger than average butt.
The car has newish suspension and rear control arms, so shocks is something you will not have to change.
Exhaust is newish so no worries about a rusted exhaust system.
And to be honest, there is some collectability for this car as many have rusted out. Try looking in California for a CRX. Last time when I checked, they were still going for a hefty price.
To be honest, I would consider buying Tofu's car as I feel the price is more than fair especially with the LSD tranny and new tires. Too bad I am looking for a K swapped car. Hmmm. K20/24 swapped CRX.... no no. I shouldn't. Or should I?

Considering someone posted that rusty black CRX for $1k and considered it a good deal, I'd say the pricing is bang on for this. As far as I'm concerned, all the mods are tastefully done, the car was clean to begin with, has maintenance records and if someone was going to mod theirs in the same manner, they're saving on parts cost and a shitload of time for, basically, new parts.
Anyways, I think it would be more appropriate to continue discussion about tofu's car in his build thread or via PM.

Either way, 345k is high but it's a Honda, if the motor pops you can find a new one and have it in within a couple hours.
I wouldn't call it overpriced, but I wouldn't call it a bargain either.

^ your experience doesn't make it the average.
~20k has been the long standing average for decades.

Vancouver average mileage is about 20-24k km annual.
BTW, divert the whole discussion to the build thread pls!

Haven't seen a clean title S2000 this cheap before. I wonder if something is wrong. Too bad I don't quite have the money yet, or I'll take this a serious look. Can't be too bad of a car. Honda s2000 |
