Too bad it comes with the weakest engine, almost miata slow

where's Dbone? (Darren) He has/had a RHD lotus elise. I think purchased it himself in the UK and brought it in the year it went legal.

68style 11-19-2021 12:48 AM

Not bad price in today's market and probably won't pop up on most people's searches because he thinks it's called a RSW???

Yup! But mine is an Exige, with the a supercharger making 300bhp. :)

Having said that, you can have a lot of fun with a stock 2zz on the road.

I hear the rover engines are good, but I personally would not buy one here. The Toyota engine will have a good parts supply for many years to come, but who knows about the Rover's.

Also interestingly enough, I had to buy side lights (unlike this guy who looks to have just put on stickers) and the price Lotus Vancouver gave me was double that of a store in the UK even though that store had to special order it directly from Lotus.

If you're really adventurous you can get rid of the Rover engine and pop in a K20. :awwyeah:

1987 BMW 325E
$9500
177k km

Selling my lovely 1987 325e E30 5-speed manual. The 325e has the 2.7L engine which could be stroked with a 2.5L head allowing for the ultimate e30 engine.

I acquired this car on Vancouver Island in April 2020. I am hoping someone can take over where I left off and take wonderful care of this car. Everything is stock or updated OEM, except for the muffler which the previous owner installed. It has 176,728km on it and has seen frequent maintenance. I have a set of pristine basketweave wheels (all with OEM centre cap and emblem) as well as original bottle cap wheels. The interior is blue houndstooth with a black dash (no cracks).

The following is a list of work done in last 6 months, only genuine parts used, most work done by CG Motorsports (e30 specialists):
-Adjusted Throttle Switch and Butterfly Gap
-New Brake Master Cylinder
-New Idle Valve Control Unit
-New Thermo Time Switch
-New Intake Boot
-New steel brake lines
-New timing belt and accessory belts
-New Water pump
-New Cam shaft seal
-New Distributor Cap and Rotor

That's a beauty. Drove a beat up automatic E30 years ago when Brian Jessel Pre-Owned gave it to me as a courtesy car and it was fantastic to drive.

68style 11-19-2021 10:03 AM

The “e” model always brings less $ and this one is priced a bit too high for not being an iS… but that’s a very handsome colour combo

68style 11-19-2021 12:04 PM

OMG... the coloursssssss... too bad it's not a V8, but it is low mileage lol

anyone have info on this thing? it seems relatively cheap (compared to other jeeps) but has been for sale for ages

underscore 11-22-2021 06:12 PM

A manual YJ with half doors and a winch is always desirable, but the purple wheels and endless light bars scream "bagged on by a kid" to me.

donk. 11-22-2021 08:30 PM

Zip ties holding the roof on, dirty engine bay, wiring sticking out under the wheel
I bet you would find some more bonuses in person

Price seems high

68style 11-22-2021 09:10 PM

Don’t forget the rock parking brake with “parking brake cables included” haha

77civic1200 11-22-2021 10:21 PM

Its also a 4banger, can't imagine how gutless that would be 30 years later

underscore 11-23-2021 03:40 PM

Oh they are absolutely gutless. My 92 was the same spec, I had a lot of fun with it but you basically floor it everywhere you go just to get moving and still get passed by everything.

'91 R129 SL with 114k kms for $7k. This is suspiciously cheap, esp considering it has AMG monoblocks. Not sure if its a fake ad.

trollface 11-23-2021 05:34 PM

'06 BMW 325XI manual wagon w/ 201k km for $7750. Not sure if its a great deal, but the wagons that I have seen seem to go for $9k+ with similar mileage (though the ones I've seen are 328xi).

Plates tells me it might be a curber. I'm pretty sure I've seen it before.

Whats wrong with curbers

The chance that you're getting a mechanically sound car or an honest history from someone who's sole purpose is to buy low and sell high is not as good as the original owner.

68style 11-24-2021 10:45 AM

I sometimes buy cars that I think are good deals and drive them like for like 3 months or a year and then sell them for more than I bought them for… but I usually make improvements and clean them up or change things. Just get infatuated with stuff and then realize it’s not so great as I thought or get bored…

I’ve been called a curber before by some friends though lol

Real curbers are guys who don’t even get the car in their name… hand your a transfer form with someone else’s info on it cuz they didn’t want to pay the taxes and register it.
