Is this decent? Someone I know has one and can't stop singing its praises. Lots of IS F Sport but GS F Sport is rare.

Not really $30000 for a 9 year old car? F sport is just an appearance package. And it takes premium. :okay:

JDMDreams 01-15-2022 10:47 PM

Not saying this is a good buy, but these are starting to come in at half the price.

I would peg that closer to $16k, or $20k in today's market assuming no damage.

Personally, I'd rather get this GS460 with the V8 for $19k - it's more understated and much rarer:

For a few bucks more...get LHD.

I found the GS a few years back (maybe that’s changed) has a really awkward bump into the drivers footwell from the transmission bellhousing I believe… felt uncomfortable to me

That ‘09 interior looks so dated compared to the newer ones.

tofu1413 01-16-2022 10:01 AM

Bump for the transfer case for the AWD

Same as the AWD IS cars. The bump is annoying

Age doesn't really play a factor in the pricing for Lexus, especially when their technology hasn't changed in the past decade.

This should be more like $25k non-covid pricing. Asking $30k isn't that farfetched nowadays, considering availability. The GS is far superior to the IS in materials and rear seat room.

The F sport has adaptive dampers and more adjustable front seats versus the base/premium package, in addition to interior/exterior appearance package

Imo, the executive package is more desirable since it only has 18"s and adds more creature comforts such as rear climate control, Mark Levinson, side window sunshades, semi-aniline leather etc. plus the adaptive dampers, but only a couple pop up for sale every year.

The third-gen GS has a classy design, but it was released in 2006 and it hasn't aged well; a LS430 would be a better choice for a “timeless” Lexus.

That’s a nice find.
I remember test driving the GS450h and really liked it, remember it being fast for a hybrid

JDMDreams 01-16-2022 01:44 PM

^^ really? Maybe it was the one I drove but I didn't find that gen gs450h fast, it was nothing out of the ordinary, same with the rx400h. It's just kinda weird when you coast a bit at low speed in electric. Maybe it's the cvt.

68style 01-16-2022 02:27 PM

This one is a NA V8… not hybrid

Those front brakes look small... then again those wheels also look huge.

A pillar shouldn't be chrome neither

but, but m3 badge

Ah, good calls - you're probably right, I don't totally know what to look for on the M vs non-M.

Check out the sellers profile.

One of the pics reminds me of this.

But yeah something looks odd about the car and the ad.

68style 01-18-2022 03:29 PM

Always love a seller profile that has 2 friends

If I remember correctly, this was an s54 swapped in, along with other m3 tid bits here and there.

jpark 01-18-2022 06:31 PM

Its a 325ci. Was posted a while back as well.
My friend asked him for the VIN and sellers reply was: "Well, the VIN will show that its a 325ci, but its an M3" wtf lol

I went to look at this car. The exterior is in rough shape. I didn't bother looking for a salesman after seeing the outside. The front bumper looks like a melted candle. The rest of the car has had a terrible respray. Sanding marks, orange peel, over/under spray, dirt in the clear.

68style 01-18-2022 11:10 PM

That's weird, name brand dealerships usually detail all their used vehicles they sell
