$5500 seems decently cheap for an 81.

Questionable ... but it was more the pic of what you think it can become ... didn't seem like you were serious, at least I hope not ... that's the fail.

I'm just a pleb | I bought it CPO, it was a good deal as good deals go in this day and age.
Have to say the interior is super nice, and it's definitely a cut above the VWs in interior quality and materials. Plus the extra width and length vs a Golf wagon is nice.

Hahaha... dude must be joking if he thinks it just needs a fuel filter. Yah.. needs a fuel filter every 2km... or tank pulled/drained more like it.
Good luck with that. 4 years isn't too much time to sit honestly for a car, but I bet it's sat a long longer than that... and with regular in the tank, not premium... varnish by now.

kind of gives off a leaky interior vibe

ZHP E46? ZSP? ZZP? I don't even know anymore, but it's some kinda package. Maybe not a smashing deal but looks to relatively well cared for. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...ok_story_share
EDIT: Well. Looks like its gone. It was $6500 for a Sport Package Sedan E46 with about 120,000KM mileage.
Wonder if someone picked it up, or maybe the guy got so many inquiries that they're gonna re-list at a higher price.

I can't believe the 3.8 in that Taurus is still running, those engines hate their own headgaskets so much

Toyota Celica GT -2002 $3700.00 obo
For sale: 2002 Toyota Celica GT
199,000 km
4 cylinder, 1.8 litre engine
5 speed manual transmission (stick shift)
Good condition – no rust
Sunroof
A/C
Cruise control
The good:
Interior is in great shape.
Runs very smoothly and shifts well.
Everything works well.
No rust.
The bad:
Wheel rims look crummy, (you can see what I mean by the pics)
Tires have maybe 40 – 60% tread.
Engine runs very smoothly, but consumes some oil – cylinder no.3 is the culprit I believe, (according to the service records)
This car had only two owners. The wife of my brother-in-law’s brother bought it new, then my brother-in-law owned it for about the last 5 years. I’m technically the third owner, but I’m only holding it to sell, since my elderly brother-in-law passed away recently.
If interested please contact me by email. Thanks.

^ engine is toast so factor that in.
I say this because I bought one awhile back that was slightly further along in losing its engine and did the swap to a used 1ZZ… also in great shape inside and out… with less kms…. Definitely did not pay anywhere near $3,700 for it.
It's a bit said because they're underrated cars, handle and drive extremely nicely especially for the age... but the market values aren't there. If you can track down a 1ZZ that is compatible (finding used engines is always a timing thing, I had a tough time and had to do some modifications -- ask me if you're interested), it's a good buy depending on your needs <$2,000 but judging by the asking price I think this owner might not be mentally prepared at this juncture to go half their ask on it.

Admittedly, that is a clean car, but the only guy in this thread to get a Camry boner is TopsyCrett. |

^^While that particular Camry isn't the greatest color combo, I still get excited when I see almost any 80/90's Toyota (or Honda) product in such great condition with low mileage. Perhaps not boner inducing, but still its own level of incredible.
