Oh yes, SNK's Race It! I used to take my car to the garage across from them, Pelham's!

Glad someone remembers. My love for Datsuns started there.

I do not think this price is all that great... but I am extremely impressed that someone (or several someones) drove one of these over 160,000kms so far:

G1 insight + 911 = 1 tank of regular a month and a tank of 94 a month

isn't those M156 engines have quite a few issues that require some pricy attention?

JDMDreams 02-15-2022 06:39 AM

Not as attention whore as BMW ^^

I believe the early ones are prone to having head bolt and cam lobe issues. I think 2010 is around when they updated them though.

I searched for 7 months before I pulled the trigger on mine. Pre 2010 had the old style head bolts that were prone to rusting/breaking causing head gasket failure.

That specific car has been for sale many times and not sold, not to mention no sport package = no LSD.. LSD is a must in these cars. Then there is the fuel consumption haha.. 65L = 250km of pure goodness

My buddy rented one in LA once commuting between Palm Springs and there... he told me in 4 days he used 7 tanks of gas LOL

I remember when these came out I was in university and just started driving and I wanted one bad. Nevermind that I don't actually fit in the car, but my problem was even if someone GAVE me a C63 I couldn't afford to fill it up.

If a pair of Crocs was a car they would be a Cadillac Catera. Comfortable yet disappointing and I wouldn't want to be seen in either!

trollface 02-15-2022 06:09 PM

Is that a Canadian car? I didn't even know this existed.

I rarely saw one IRL ad a kid, but I remember the ads with the little bird. Totally a departure from the Seville, DeVille of the times.

Lo lo, I've always wondered what to do with an old collector car, yes I get the cheap insurance but I have no where to put it as more expensive cars will be in the garage. This will just have to be kept on the street. But it's too nice or scared to be damaged to park on the street.

I still want an older LS or a SC :accepted: or Miata FeelsBadMan

Pecking order for any (male) car enthusiast as to which car goes inside assuming 2 spots:

Inside - Wife's car
Inside - Whichever car either leaks water somewhere (practically every old car) or project car that's not insured because you're "working on it" or your brand new car for first 6 months until it gets its first scratch
Outside - Newest car or new car after first scratch

:okay:

:okay:

Currently - Shitvic on jack stands. Waiting to "fix" it so that it will drive and I can insure it.
Other spot - junk that I need to "put away" when I have time. Then it will be my wife's car spot.

Outside will be my daily driver.

So you are bang on.
