Ah, first world problems. :fuckyea: |
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...tory_type=post Not a "good buy", but more of a share.... 6000km nsx for 300k$ What an absolute waste of a car, what really grinds my gears, is sportscars sitting in garages as investments. What grinds my gears even more, is people with 3-5 of the same car, hidden in their garage for decades I hope whoever buys that car, devalues it by driving the dam thing. There's a silver nsx in Coquitlam, in a guys driveway, that has been sitting there since 2011 at minimum. Around 2014 I knocked on the guys door, tried to buy it off him, had a conversation for 10 minutes about the car. He told me it had 300,000kms on it, but he had only driven a fraction of those in half a decade. He didn't want to sell. Maybe it's time I go knock on his door again, I don't think the car has moved since /Rant https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...tory_type=post 1000$ for a del sol SI, depending how much oil it eats, that's a dam good deal |
Eh, is a garage queen like this really a problem? Not many people buy NSX to dd, just like most ppl don't buy a 911 Turbo to dd. If you want a driven NSX there are plenty to be had, it's not like this guy is somehow taking away your ability to see or buy one. I personally enjoy seeing really good condition old cars vs a bunch of run down ones. Never really understood the hate for Garage Queens. Look at it this way, he preserved a really nice example of a cool car for the future to enjoy. |

Car is made to be driven. So a garage queen will get some mileage. But some just hoard nice cars in the name of collectors is a waste of an automobile. |
^ he is talking about donk saying he’s mad about the red one. Outside silver one is a separate story. |

Everything costs money, storing it costs money, driving it costs even more money. The only reason some rare cool cars are still around is that someone bought it, and hoarded it and it didn't get written off or junked. Garage queens often end up in collections the public can see or gets shown at car shows. Look at the cars OEM's have bought from people that even they don't have in their collection or all the cars on loan at the Petersen. As a whole, garage queens do way more for the "Public" and "Hobbyist" than having a bunch of rare cars disappear off the face of the earth or have them all run-down. The more rare cars collectors buy, the higher the demand for them and OEMS will continue to make more cool cars. I get it if these hoarders are somehow affecting your ability to enjoy the hobby. But let's be honest here, none of us have been screwed by these guys because they bought all the GT2's, Ferrari 250, mint GTS and never drove them. People that have the money to sit on cars like this, prob have a dozen cars. If you put 10k a year on each, that's driving 120k a year. Low milage on ONE car doesn't really mean they never drive their cars. |
Except for that long haired guy that bought all the Porsche’s lol. |
NSX’s aren’t really that cool to most people. For car people and especially Honda people etc. of course. But if your average non car person walked into a garage with a couple NSX, they really aren’t that impressive imo. |
I was riding in a 1990 NSX the other day and everyone driving even a remotely interesting car was breaking their necks to stare at us… otherwise I think they just noticed it more for how tiny it is |
It’s definitely like a low riding “different” car and it’s aged pretty well, but it doesn’t have the lines or flash of any modern super car etc. which I know isn’t saying much given it’s an Acura lol |
