People will pay $3500+ just to get the k-swap + LSD transmission out of it these days... he knows it too.

whitev70r 03-30-2022 06:37 AM

I hear some of you talking about a hoist in your own garage ... this seems like a good price for one. $750 ... I have no idea but see others listed 2x as much.

Do people K-Swap 200-300,000KM engines?

I thought someone would pay more for a lower KM one just to make the $2-3,500 labour worth it.

68style 03-31-2022 11:09 AM

Well... I personally wouldn't... but I doubt that stops most people, can do a pretty good health check on an engine when it's out too, replace whatever you need.

I did most of my swap myself, spent about $800 in total with some stuff I couldn't handle but my engine really did only have 135,000kms haha... this was back when you could buy a shitty RSX-S for <$3k though.

Koflach 03-31-2022 03:12 PM

has anyone seen a '90/91 CRX si for sale? looking for something relatively stock if possible.

If its the one I saw it was a bottom plate and 3 phase, 2 strikes. No thanks.

I've turned down free lifts before, just not worth it. Although a 20 year old rotary is better than a brand new bendpak, you have to know what you're looking at.

I bought my home lift from lordco with trade show pricing.

Not a good buy. But rare. I remember looking at this tsunami edition in high school.

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...467603413.html

For sale is my 2003 Toyota Celica GT-S "Tsunami Edition" in Midnight Blue!

Very low kilometers at 169,526. It is currently my daily driver so that number is still going up.

This is the "Tsunami Edition" GT-S version of this car which was only released in Canada and a few in the US.

I absolutely babied this car and I always made sure to keep up with the maintenance. Garage kept at all times. Exterior and interior of the car is in amazing condition for a 2003. Mechcanically sound without any hiccups. You can see below more about this car!

-6 Speed Manual Transmission
-1.8L, Inline 4
-Front Wheel Drive
-TRD Side Skirts & Rear Diffuser

-Blue/Black Interior (Seats, door panels, steering wheel, and shift knob)
-Stock 16" GT-S Rims painted in gun metal gray (No Curb Rash)
-Driver side power windows, power locks
-A/C (Works great!)
-Cruise Control

Mods:
-6.2" Pioneer Bluetooth Head Unit (AVH-110BT)
-Injen Intake
-Easycar Remote Start Keyless Entry
-Low Beam/High Beam HIDs (6000k [Replaced all 4 bulbs at 165,000kms])
-Alpine Sound System
-Slightly lowered with Tein Coilovers
-TRD Exhaust
-TRD Sport Lid Fuel Door & Gas Cap Hatch
-Tinted Rear Windows/Windshield

Feel free to send me a message if there's anything else you'd like to know!

What a guy haha, Tsunami Edition was nothing more than an appearance package... and half the stuff on his car are things he's added after the fact, they weren't part of it.

Between that and the questionably installed stereo, braces and high mileage... bruh. It *might* be a $7k car to the right 7th gen Celica fanatic (I've owned 2 and currently still have 1 of them, they're underrated cars and the styling has held up well but they have very little following). His ask would be legit for a very small group of people for one that was a museum piece and untouched by ricer hands.

*Edit*
Also should point out, this car has probably been crashed. That's a stock 2000-2002 front bumper. It's not the TRD front bumper that should come on the Tsunami nor is it a 2003+ front bumper. He's also got the TRD Sports M steering wheel, shifter and front seats... those were not part of the Tsunami, they're from a JDM only model... rare parts, but replacing the steering wheel also points again to a front hit in addition to the wrong front bumper being used.

Shady.

Lawd help whoever buys that Hennessey 650R. I saw it at CFB Cold Lake in 2012, came up with some other Viper guys who ran their turbo and blower Vipers on the runway. The Hennessey was just there as a show car because it didn't run. The colour is appropriate.

I wonder if this is from Doug Seal's collection of neglected rotters. He's got some old ACR's and a GT2 as well. I tried to rescue one to no avail.

I’d much rather have the red and white Panasonic edition with the 2000’s graphics….

Same kit... but that only came in GT form, not GT-S

People will never cease to amaze me. Supposedly own what is a very rare and what I’d say a significant vehicle….can’t take anything better than a couple screenshots and half frames garage pic. Laziness like that and making not even a half assed effort makes me question everything he said in the ad. Thing probably hasn’t seen an oil change in 15 years if he’s that lazy

Yep same car. Doug Seal was in fact the previous owner who yes owns Willowbrook Chrysler. He's been in the Viper scene for a long time. I stand corrected on it running at Race The Base in 2012 but it must have been earlier in the day because I only saw it static and was told it had a mechanical. You know it's bad when the guy has to put "unreliable" right in the description while still asking over 180k for it :high: Good luck to him, parts for it from Hennessey or Dodge are literally non-existent which is probably why he's tying to offload it.

Correct, just like the ACR I tried to save from Willowbrook. People that treat their cars like this: run far and fast. "Oh yes we have all the service records" then stalled for over 90 mins trying to wait me out. Meanwhile the car was in such bad shape I didn't even want to test drive it. They hadn't changed a single fluid on it in 18 months and the Carfax said it hadn't had even an oil change in two years before that, let it sit outside all year round, reeked of coolant inside and out and was dumping it under the nose, a note on a napkin saying the supercharger was running a 7.5lb pulley and no other engine build details, tires so dry-rotted and cracked they had to goo one of the rears to keep the bead sealed, and more. Some cars are worth saving but after being in the hands of people like this it becomes a fools errand.

Are Vipers even reliable in stock form?

2022 Tacoma pro - $99,000 (Vancouver)

2022 toyota tacoma trd pro
fuel: gas
odometer: 10
title status: clean
transmission: automatic

I waited, due to chip and supply chain chaos, 15 months for my new 2022 Tacoma PRO, the lime green one. It's amazing. I know there are those of you out there who have seen the value of your home go from 800k to 2.5 million in the last few years, you have lots of cash and don't want to wait 15 months for a truck. This is the deal for you. I paid 68k plus tax. It has 10 km on it. To all you haters that are going to email me about the price being too high, get bent. To all you rich guys who want the new truck and don't want to wait, the price is firm and no test drives. If I don't hear from someone in one week I'll take this ad down and am keeping the truck. Please don't contact me.
