The seller wasn't the owner though. He's just a reseller. You'd have to look at that car deeply. It's not stock, or close to it. Widebody could be metal or shitty fibreglass jobby. It's about 10-15k more than I'd expect to see a stock 79 going for, so those modifications better be done damn well. I'd be interested at 65k if I was e30less, and I'm not a purist. I'd be happy with the WB if it's metal. People paying over 80k for early g bodies want collectors examples.
A friend's father recently sold his for around 5k more, half the milage, euro, and about 6 years newer.

the dude is middle manning the car essentially.
and based on previous experience dealing and interacting with that guy, it was a pain.

He's a bit of a dick lol
That said, a stock 911sc these days in good nick would probably be fetching round 70-100+ depending on miles, colour, etc so that's not a bad price persay. Though given who's selling it, he's usually top of market so evidently there must be some inherent reasons to that car for it to be priced 'reasonably'

unethical seller. doesn't honor agreed price. wanted side funds to grease the deal. 0/10 won't deal again.

Yeah I think that was in the mid 30's like a week ago? That seems like a suspiciously good deal.

happy motoring. 28k seems like a good deal nowadays with a non rebuild cayman S 6MT.

2003.5 E46 M3 SMG - $25k
196k, OEM+
Higher K, but slightly tempted. Anything major to watch out for around the 200k mark? https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rch...478440349.html |

That's one hell of a crash fams. | Keep in mind though, the car was still worth quite a bit in 2012 when the accident apperantly happened. Factor in the nature of expensive porsche parts as well.
I see new 911's and 718 Cayman damage estimates go way past 18-20g in repairs easily all the time.

The SMG is relatively easy to convert to manual, if you feel the need. If you don't, get a CSL flash and the transmission is 10x better.
edit: just read the ad after answering. Lots of good stuff already done to this car. I really like it. A couple bits that it would benefit from not having, but little details.

and keep in mind he capitalized ESTIMATE... which leads me to ask what he's hiding was the actual repair cost ?? Could be higher.. hopefully lower but how often that does happen?

30K on a P car is honestly probably not as bad as you think....though nothing to sneeze at..
Somebody rear ended my coworkers brand new Tiguan, honestly looked liked a bumper with misaligned exhaust tip, minor bent/dent along the bottom edge of the lift gate, no light or glass damage...
Estimate came out to be 23K, and body shop said 8 to 12 month wait on parts lol...
So the car drives perfectly fine, but he will be stuck with a broken looking car for the next year.... (car was picked up in Jan)....
Yea.... if that was 23K of damage on a VW, I can say 30k on a Porsche could be as severe or minor as you think, really hard to judge without photos....

Slightly off topic but anyone bought a car from another province without going there? Talked to a dealer about a CPO car in Ontario but they said I'd have to physically go there to sign papers. Can't do it over the phone/online

I've bought a car out of province way back long ago, absolutely no problems in terms of transaction.
However, in this time of heightened market, maybe dealer just don't want the extra hassle when he can sell it directly to someone local and make things simpler. Don't blame him/her really.
