"Engine was taken out for rebuilding decades ago and was lost. Car has been in heated storage."

If I had a dime for every time I accidently lost an engine and lights, and badges, and dash, and trim....

Running ones go for like 60 on BAT. This guy is screwed.

That's the kind of thing that I'd slap a more modernish V6 into and go. I wouldn't want to pay 30 for the shell though.

tofu1413 07-18-2022 06:21 PM

$3k.

LS swap it.

and all the allocations till end of 2025 are spoken for?

Based on what I've read on Rennlist Canada forums, no, I don't think so. I would encourage you to get the Spyder, though. Beautiful car! :)

You can still try to order one, but be prepared to shop across provinces. Some dealers will force you to tack on additional dealer markups (ADM) in order to make the sale feasible for themselves. It's the 911 and GT cars that are really hard to get.

1978 Honda Civic - $1,800 (New Westminster)
https://vancouver.craigslist.org/bnc...510786667.html

My husband has too many projects and has not worked on this one which he bought for us to fix up. We both work 70-100 hours a week each and have little time for anything but dog walks at best.

1978 2 door
Manual transmission
1200 cc engine which my husband has got running again.
Interior is pretty rough, he has purchased SiR seats for it but I don’t see them sitting around right now so you’ll have to ask about them.

There are no breaks currently as they were all seized and he has not yet got the parts to replace them.

He has 2 spare engines and one spare transmission which we would also like to sell…

Final year LS430 for sale at a dealership in Nanaimo.

Maybe it's the inflation talking but this seems like a decent buy given the mileage and condition. Looks like a cream puff. At that mileage, it's still new!

In today's climate, if you pay straight cash, will they go lower?

X5 4.6is on Estriol Blue

Velvet Blue E46 M3 on Arizona Sun Yellow (?) Extended Leather. Individual spec. Rare. The only thing that knocks it's coolness factor is that it's a vert. At least it comes with hardtop?

2004 BMW 330ci 6spd coupe (zhp M3 upgrades) - $12,000

Thoughts on this?

That X5 is a beauty. What's the scouting report on that generation and engine? Any major weak points?

The engine uses the same block as the 4.4, it's not reliable at all. Better transmission but the torque converter prone to failure. That SUV carries a reasonably high probability of being a money pit, even if it's been regularly serviced at the dealer. One of my friends owned one of these, he gave up and sold it after the second engine replacement.....

I think it sounds promising, the maintenance record seems complete and correctly focused. A few years ago I'd have called 12K a crack pipe price for an e46 330, could have go a rough e46 M3 for not too much more. I'd only buy it if I was looking for one of these and was choosing between a lower priced one without maintenance and this one. I think this is a car that it might be tough to recoup the price when you're done with it and it's time to resell if/when the market calms down again. What you would have is likely to be relatively trouble free motoring (for a BMW).

This is a pretty decent deal. Definitely not a real ZHP. It doesn't have any of the real mtech II stuff. The steering wheel is out of an early e46 with the double spoke, the bumpers are non mtech II.

However, aside from cosmetics, he did get VANOS done, which is super rare to see. I'd check to see if the DISA valve got done too. I did both on mine and I'm pretty sure I was the only nutjob willing to do it on a 330 lol. All the maintenance checks out, a lot of it, I did the same on my 330, like the MeyleHD control arms. The manual selector rod bushing is replaced, which is good cause that's a pain in the ass to do and it's the literal reason why BMWs feel like garbage. All the upgrades seem well thought out.

12K is on the ball considering the amount of work on it. He includes a maintenance worksheet, similar to how I did mine. I'm impressed.

bcrdukes 07-21-2022 07:01 AM

330i/330ci (ZHP or non ZHP) has stood the test of time against inflation. They were $12K 5 years ago and still $12K now. Not bad.

Lol. Those x5 v8’s blow sooooo much blue all the time. Paint matched exhaust smoke haha

JDMDreams 07-21-2022 11:24 AM

^^ don't forget the gangster lean cuz of blown air suspension

Tapioca 07-21-2022 01:10 PM

It's hard to find a 6-speed E46 330 these days. On the face of it, 12K is a lot to swallow for a BMW of this vintage, but on the other hand, the E46 330 is now viewed as a classic.

westopher 07-21-2022 01:36 PM

Bargain way to get something similarly engaging to an e36 m3 with a little less fun factor and a little more comfort. It’s a great only car for an enthusiast that doesn’t have the room for a toy.
